Current Events Solofa Fatu (known as Junior Fatu, and previously as Rikishi) was released from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling on October 25 2007 over a financial dispute, ending his short lived return to television. John Layfield's wife takes serious heat over Citigroup financial advice on November 1 2007. Brooke Adams (known simply as Brooke) was released from World Wrestling Entertainment on November 1 2007. Lilian Ellison (known as The Fabulous Moolah) passed away November 2 2007 at age 84. Chris Mordetsky and Harry Smith (known as Chris Masters and D.H. Smith, respectively) were suspended from World Wrestling Entertainment as of November 2 2007 for Wellness Policy violations. Mordetsky was released from his contract six says later.

Christopher Irvine (known as Chris Jericho) returned to WWE after a two year hiatus, debuting on the November 19 2007 edition of RAW following months of speculation. Matt Hardy suffered from an inflamed appendix, rendering him unable to wrestle at Survivor Series and possibly for 8-10 weeks. Project News AJPW Triple Crown Championship has been elevated to Featured list status. Its nomination page can be viewed here. Royal Rumble and 2007 WWE Draft are currently Featured list candidates. Their respective nomination pages can be found here and here. Briscoe Brothers, King of the Ring (1994), No Way Out (2004), and WrestleMania III are currently Good article candidates. In Your House 1 and Vengeance (2006) have each been listed for peer review. Please review these articles and make suggestions for their improvement. Their respective peer reviews can be found here and here. The recent focus on improving stub articles has reduced the number of stubs from 777 to 732 since December 15. The focus on improving Stub-class articles is continuing to pay off, as the number of stubs has reduced from 732 to 717 over the past week. To see a list of important stubs that need some work, or to suggest a stub that you think should be improved, check out stub article subpage. Current Events As of January 2, SmackDown! Superstar Drew McIntyre has been drafted to the Raw brand. As of January 4, Raw Assistant General Manager, Jonathan Coachman has been drafted to the Smackdown! brand to replace JBL as color commentator. On January 12, World Wrestling Entertainment, in conjunction with Bakus International, will begin airing WWE Programming on Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT) in Brazil.
