Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for contributing edits that were made in good faith, but have been deemed to not contribute positively to the article, and thus been reverted. You are welcome to discuss it in the article talk page. Also, you can experiment with your edits in the sandbox or seek advice (see below).

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out the Teahouse, ask the Help Desk, or place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Once again, welcome! GentleHillRacer (talk) 07:37, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

On a related note, it may be helpful for you to read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking, particularly the section on overlinking—in general, common occupations and major examples of countries and nationalities should not be linked. Happy editing! GentleHillRacer (talk) 07:41, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: David Kabanda

[edit]

Hello Acongratulations, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of David Kabanda, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Guessing the creator of the article might be a sock is not sufficient. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 20:23, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Heelo Whpq, Thank you for your message but atleast an investigation is needed. Acongratulations (talk) 20:26, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
What evidence do you have that you can present for a case at Sockpuppet investigations? -- Whpq (talk) 20:32, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: B2C Entertainment

[edit]

Hello Acongratulations, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of B2C Entertainment, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Lack of notability is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 21:12, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

As you've already been told, lack of notability is not a reason to nominate an article for speedy deletion. You would need to nominate it for deletion the usual way, through WP:AFD. I'm also a bit confused by your statement that "there are no sources" in this article; there are several. Did you mean something else? Let me know if I can be of assistance. Heelo @JohnLaurens333, have made a search about the subject and there are no reliable sources like newspapers about her only sources from advocates. Acongratulations (talk) Acongratulations (talk) 07:17, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Have tried to use AFD but it had failed, Proposed deletion instead came. Acongratulations (talk) 07:19, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean "from advocates"? There are articles about her from PinkNews, The Advocate, and The Daily Beast, which are all news organizations. In solidarity, 🏳️‍🌈JohnLaurens333 (They/themTalk • Contribs) 07:21, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Since she is a Ugandan I took more care to Ugandan sources and I didn't see one like New Vision or Daily Monitor thats why I had tagged it but have self reverted. Thank you for the communication. Acongratulations (talk) 07:31, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
That's all right, thanks for fixing it and communicating! In solidarity, 🏳️‍🌈JohnLaurens333 (They/themTalk • Contribs) 07:32, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Joanvumilia per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Joanvumilia. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

I am requesting to be unblocked son that I can continue to make useful edits to Wikipedia. My accounthas also not violated any policies as tagged to be sock.

Acongratulations (talk) 19:14, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This is a checkuser block, meaning it is supported with private technical evidence that even normal admins like me cannot see. Socking is itself a violation of policy even if your edits have merit. If you are not a sock, you will need to provide a plausible explanation as to why technical evidence would indicate otherwise. 331dot (talk) 19:32, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
