What you're describing there is actually the problem. Wikipedia is not a free webhost for "About Me" style pages. If that's your aim, you should use a personal website instead, as that wouldn't be permitted here. Well, certainly, it might be possible. "Indefinite" doesn't have to mean "permanent"; it just means until we're reasonably convinced you'll stop doing whatever necessitated the block, in this case self-promotion.
