Pete the Cat
Hey there, not sure how much interest you have in the topic, but I was going to TNT that article if you wanted in on it. My work (very much in progress) is on my sandbox either way, thanks for reverting those edits. Oh and hi! Drewmutt (^ᴥ^) talk 22:35, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Should Template:trimc be used in Template:toolbar?
I don't understand the code well enough to implement it without breaking something, but it looks like putting {{trimc}} into {{toolbar}} might eliminate some of the Linter double-colon errors. See Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive572 for an example of a double-colon link used inside of {{toolbar}}. Thanks for taking a look. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:30, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- My mistake, it looks like you already fixed the Toolbar module. Nice work. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:33, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
tools.wmflabs.org/ircredirect?
Hello! Are you the maintainer of this tool? If yes, is it okay to this tool in the german wikipedia for connecting to freenode? The guys there are a little bit sleepy (sorry) and use still the direct link which in (standard installation of) firefox connects to mibbit, but mibbit seems to be blocked by freenode. Now I have seen that the en-WP uses this tool, but since de-WP is not a small one I would like to ask before. Thanks. --Wurgl (talk) 06:53, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Wurgl: Feel free to use it. Make sure to look at the documentation at https://tools.wmflabs.org/ircredirect/README.html on how to configure the randomly generated names. Unless you want the names to be in English, you'll have to create a page on dewiki based on Wikipedia:IRC help disclaimer/nicks and call it out using the
baseurl=
parameter. --Ahecht (TALK
PAGE) 12:41, 13 October 2017 (UTC)- Thanks! The web interface seems to be in the local language (for me in german) which is fine. The start page without parameter consent=yes is in english, is there some way to localize that page too – if we decide to use it. --Wurgl (talk) 14:08, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Wurgl: That parameter was added just to avoid toolforge policies that prohibit blind redirects, but should never actually be seen by end users. I would localize it on a page on dewiki that includes the appropriate disclaimer (like Wikipedia:IRC help disclaimer des) and then just always pass
consent=yes

Planet Aid
It should say "alleged" because Planet Aid was not implicated in the financial scandal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wizardryo (talk • contribs) 17:03, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Wizardryo: But the financial crimes themselves are not alleged. --Ahecht (TALK

ArbCom 2017 election voter message
Hello, Ahecht. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Planet Aid
My bad. These are PRIMARY sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wizardryo (talk • contribs) 20:39, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Why did you remove the number of countries where Planet Aid funds development projects? Seems very relevant and important when describing Planet Aid at a glance--certainly more relevant than most of your historical edits on this page. Speaking of which, your history of edits make it seem like you're engaged in edit warring and scandal mongering since your history of edits strongly suggests that you remove every edit that is not negative--including numerous factual revisions.
Clearly there is a good deal of controversy about Planet Aid, however, your history of edits suggest you are going out of your way to ignore empirical information in order to cast the organization in only negative light. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.10.145.166 (talk) 16:30, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- That level of detail doesn't really belong in the lead part of the article, especially since it already lists the areas of the world they are active, and only a small fraction of Plabet Aid's money goes to those programs. Specifics are detailed later in the article.Ahecht (TALK
