Speedy deletion nomination of Galaxy Pack v1.5 APK
editA tag has been placed on Galaxy Pack v1.5 APK, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:15, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Damien Duhamel, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.damienduhamel.com/.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Airul
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Airul requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —Largo Plazo (talk) 21:18, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Creating autobiographies
editPlease do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 21:20, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Damien Duhamel
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Damien Duhamel, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://www.globalentrepolis.com/speakers/612-damien-duhamel. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
— Diannaa (talk) 23:33, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Copyright
editHi! I've deleted an article because you very closely paraphrased another source and in some places, directly took content. Be careful of this, since this is still considered to be a copyright violation and you will need to re-write content in your own words. I also note on your userpage that you're a marketing person. Were you paid to write any of the content you've submitted to Wikipedia? If so, you will need to disclose this on your userpage. Just saying that you're a marketing person isn't enough, as someone can be a PR person and not have been hired to create an article. You can edit with a conflict of interest (WP:COI) but you need to be very careful to be neutral, follow guidelines, and be very transparent.
I would also heavily recommend that you look into taking one of the training programs, either WP:TRAINING or WP:ADVENTURE. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:11, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Copyright problem: Damien Duhamel
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Damien Duhamel, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.damienduhamel.com/, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Damien Duhamel and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". Make sure you quote the exact page name, Damien Duhamel, in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Damien Duhamel. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0", or that the material is released into the public domain, or if you have strong reason to believe it is, leave a note at Talk:Damien Duhamel with a link to where we can find that note or your explanation of why you believe the content is free for reuse.
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Damien Duhamel saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.
Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:29, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi! Did you not read the message left here for you by Tokyogirl79? Your new version of the Duhamel page still contains copyright violations, and the talk page does not carry any declaration of your conflict of interest, as it must if you were paid to create the article. Were you?
- Tokyogirl79 is of course right to say that you can edit with a conflict of interest; however, you are strongly discouraged from editing any article where you have a COI – you can always request changes by posting on the talk page. You must declare any COI when you do so. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:29, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Justlettersandnumbers, I'm actually going to delete this since it's essentially the same material that caused the article to get speedied in the past. There is some additional information but the problem here wasn't solely that there were concerns over his notability - the biggest and most pressing concern was copyright violations. Promotional prose was also an issue. I have no problem with someone wanting to recreate the page but it needs to be neutrally written and in their own words. I'm also concerned about the unstated conflict of interest, as there's enough here to where I firmly suspect that they're a paid editor. Edits to insert links like this one and this one for the company Solidiance (which they have also edited) kind of cement this. At this point there's no way that they really couldn't be aware of the COI guidelines after my post and their actions are fairly suspicious. Not only have they re-uploaded the same promotional, copyvio laden article twice, but they've tried to insert a marketing company's news story into two different articles - one to replace another link and another to the external links section. Since this was written by a PR company and published on a website that serves as a PR vehicle, it's far from a reliable source or anything appropriate for the external links section.
- Because of this, I'm blocking Aieroel from editing. Aieroel, I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt and I gave you a clear warning above that undisclosed paid editing was not acceptable, nor was the posting of copyrighted information. You might be able to get unblocked but that will come with several requirements, which I'll post in a moment. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:24, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, Tokyogirl79, those all appear to be good decisions. I was wondering whether or not a G11 for Solidiance would succeed. Based on the user page declaration, the user has a clear and evident connection to that company, which should have been – but was not – declared here. April 2016
edit{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:24, 27 April 2016 (UTC)- I've blocked you for the reasons stated above: you have made several edits that gave off the extremely strong impression that you are someone who was paid or otherwise asked to come and edit Wikipedia. These edits include the insertion of PR marketing material into articles by attempting to pass them off as a reliable source and also the creation and re-creation of an article that contained copyrighted material and promotional prose. You were specifically warned about editing with a conflict of interest and in this warning you were told that anyone editing with a COI need to disclose this on their userpage. Your userpage content was far too vague to be considered a full disclosure and your edits after that warning give off the impression that you ignored my post. This is why you are being blocked, because I have to assume that you will ignore any further warnings or advice, something that is incredibly foolhardy to do, especially when you appear to be an undisclosed paid editor since this can give off the impression that you are trying to evade detection and deliberately circumvent rules. You might be unblocked, but you'd have to do the following:
- Show that you understand the reasons for your block.
- Show that you understand why copyright violations are taken seriously on Wikipedia.
- Disclose your conflict of interest. (Saying that you do not have one is unlikely to be believed at this point.)
- If you want to create new articles, they must be created via WP:AfC. The addition of links to pages need to be suggested on the article's talk page and/or through the reliable sources noticeboard, where they can assess the link for reliability.
- Go through one of the training programs listed above.
- If you can do these, you might be unblocked. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:31, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'll be perfectly honest - at this point my recommendation is that you not be unblocked. You've had a lot of time to look over the guidelines and your actions have shown a clear disregard for rules. This isn't even including your attempts to make a promotional page for yourself at User:Airul (and to a lesser extent at Airul) and the creation of the puffery laden Galaxy Pack v1.5 APK. It would take an awful lot to convince me that you're willing to edit within the guidelines. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:34, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- I also have to ask your relation to User:Monsieurdan, another account that attempted to create an article for Duhamel and also created Solidiance, which you've also edited. I'm debating blocking this account as well, given that they also created a version of Duhamel's article with copyright violations. If you work with them, which seems likely, please warn them that any further attempts to create an article for Duhamel should happen at AfC. If this is an alternate account you will need to disclose this here. Do not edit under that account (or any new ones) until the block on this account has been lifted. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:38, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm blocking the other account. It appears that they reposted a near identical version of Solidiance that was deleted in 2014 at AfD, which also gives off the strong impression that they're a paid editor. This all seems so coordinated that I really can't help but feel that the two of you are working together. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:45, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Tokyogirl79: Can you help me on restoring https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solidiance ? I'm so sorry for this mistake, i make sure that this will not happen in the future.
- Restoration of Solidiance would be a bit tricky and to be honest the first thing you'd need to do is answer the above questions/concerns. Now as far as the article goes, this was deleted at AfD by Joe Decker so you'd have to talk to him about getting the article restored. One of the main things you'd need to do is show where the company has received coverage in independent and reliable sources. Brief, WP:TRIVIAL mentions or WP:PRIMARY sources like press releases and official websites wouldn't be able to establish notability on Wikipedia. Also something to be cautious of are sources written by a person or organization that is affiliated with Solidiance, as those would be considered primary as well. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:21, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Tokyogirl79: Thanks for replying, btw i can't talk to Joe Decker because editing from Aieroel has been blocked (disabled) by Tokyogirl79.

Request reason:
I'm so sorry for this mistake, i make sure that this will not happen in the future.
Decline reason:
That doesn't even come close to a satisfactory response to Tokyogirl79's points explained in detail above. If you want to be considered for unblocking, you will need to respond, in detail, to each of the points she has made. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:39, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
The file File:Solidiance.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused with no apparent encyclopedic use, uploaded for the now deleted Solidiance and as this is a company logo further proof should be provided that the uploader is the copyright holder
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. mattbr 08:17, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
