Your rollback request
editHi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for rollback/Denied/July 2008#ajh16. SoxBot X (talk) 17:30, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
editI would just like to say thanks for reverting the vandalism on my page. However, you might want to warn the offending editors on their talk page, using templates found at Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace. In any case, keep up the good work. Artichoker[talk] 19:06, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Question
editAlthough you were declined rollback yesterday based on inexperience, a look through your recent contributions shows that you know how to use undo correctly, and are familiar with what vandalism is and isn't. Do you still want rollback rights? I can grant them right now if you want them. Tell me what you think. Thanks. Acalamari 17:02, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- Rollback granted. Just remember that rollback should only be used to revert vandalism, and that misuse of the tool can lead to its removal. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 18:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Wow!
editYou just installed Huggle, yet you're extremely fast! Shapiros10 contact meMy work 19:05, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
editThanks for the rollback permissions and the compliment on using Huggle. I'm used to being an IRCop on an IRC network so I'm used to quickly dealing with this kind of stuff. The time I have to spend on it will vary from time to time, but it is a big help to be able to make the best use of my time by having a powerful tool like Huggle at my disposal now. It definatly makes life much easier. My compliments to its creators.Ajh16 (talk) 19:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Huggle
editFollowing this edit, which was a clear misuse of Huggle, I have removed your Huggle access (although not, for the moment, rollback). Normally I wouldn't take such a drastic action for a "first offence", but quite frankly an account with a history of less than 24 hours should not be using a tool like this anyway. – iridescent 19:26, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Re: Requesting reconsideration of Huggle block
editI won't reconsider; in my opinion there's no legitimate reason an editor with less than 50 edits would be using Huggle. Assuming you're a good-faith new editor, you need to demonstrate you can use the rollback feature correctly before using something this powerful; the analogy would be, I wouldn't let you drive a semi-trailer truck until you'd passed the test to drive a car. You may be able to persuade someone else to re-enable it in which case I won't stand in their way. (In the event that you're not a good-faith new editor then there are obvious reasons not to allow you access to a powerful high-speed editing tool.) – iridescent 20:25, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- regarding your last post on Iridescent's talkpage, I have said (in two places) that I really hope I'm wrong and that it is just a bizarre coincidence. The (unfortunate in your case) timing got my spidey-sense tingling. A long time socker gets indeffed, one of his hallmarks was asking for rollback way too soon in his editing history for his reincarnation. He was indeffed right around the time you showed up at RFR. As a new editor. Asking for rollback. Again, I hope I'm wrong. Keeper | 76 | what's in a name? 20:38, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- My talkpage is a mess (it usually is), so I'll post here. I'm starting to think that I've misjudged you (again, bad timing isn't your fault, but it is what it is...). Give it a week or so without huggle, poke around, revert some things, add some things. See if this is a place you could get used to. If so, I'll unprotect your .css file so you can enable huggle (or post to Iridescent for another set of eyes). I've said all along that I hoped I was wrong. I will be elated to be wrong about you. Hit up my talkpage if you need any help with anything. Cheers, Keeper | 76 | what's in a name? 22:19, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi!
editHello - thanks for getting in contact! I'm interested to see that (presumably) there are 16 AJHs but I got AJHW on its own. Perhaps someone could write a page on how people choose their usernames - apart from vandals, misleading names etc! AJHW (talk) 13:49, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
PPF
editHi Ajh! I restored the proper version of the PPF page, which has been around for more than four years, as a proper disambiguation page. (Please be cautious about adding speedy-delete tags -- it's worthwhile to look at the article history before doing so -- one would hope that the deleting admin would look at histories before hitting the switch, but in my experience that's not 100% the case.) Thank you for your patrolling work! Antandrus (talk) 16:53, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, my history didn't load properly for some reason so I did not see any entries prior to the 2 spam ones. I have reverted the other associated edits that the tagging made. Thanks for catching it before I could get back to it.Ajh16 (talk) 16:55, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- No problem at all! all is well. :) Antandrus (talk) 16:55, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: double revert
editYeah, I hit escape, but I wasn't fast enough, so I clicked "undo" on both the revert and the warning, and it said it undid my warning as well as the revert, I guess it lied. I just closed Huggle, and it did this. You should be good, now. J.delanoygabsadds 16:08, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
