Ajsh, I just want to say again that I'm sorry you're not having a good experience at Wikipedia. I don't want you to feel pressured to stay if you don't want to, but if there's anything I can do to help you out, feel free to let me know on my talk page. --David Wahler (talk) 02:21, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

If you're looking for things to do on Wikipedia, I suggest browsing around a bit in the Community portal. Whenever I get bored, I can usually find something interesting to work on there. I don't have any idea what your interests are, so unfortunately I can't think of any more specific suggestions. --David Wahler (talk) 02:44, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Like I said, I don't know what you'd find interesting. Maybe you can give me some ideas? Or, like I said, feel free to do something else -- there's no pressure. --David Wahler (talk) 02:49, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Re: I can't make a new page!

edit

From here

When I try, it says 'the page cannot be displayed'. To be honest, I was going to make a List of fictional moles. I can only think of three, and one I'm not really sure it counts. Maybe it better be List of fictional moles and other borrowing mammals. AAAAAADDDR 11:22, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

If you read your comments above, you will notice both titles are red (or have a red question mark). Click the title of the page you want to create, and you will see a message that "Wikipedia does not yet have a page called List of fictional moles". Any text you enter in the box below will form the new page when you click the Save button.
You could take a look at List of fictional rabbits to give you some ideas for page layouts, section headings, etc. Don't worry if you can only think of three fictional moles - others will soon add more if there are any.

Reference Desk

edit

Please consider finding an area of Wikipedia in which to be constructive, instead of clogging up the Reference Desk with silly questions and responses to questions (I wouldn't call them answers). Wikipedia is not a forum or a messageboard. Wikipedia:Community Portal may give you some ideas on where you could best contribute. Regards, Proto t c 15:38, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regarding my question about sneezes, I was genuinely wondering if there was a real term. Then I thought that there might not be, so I invented one. Kid Apathy 15:39, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
As for 'jumping down your neck' - often, the Reference Desk is the first place people visit when they come to Wikipedia. It is important to keep things courteous, helpful and relevant, as the responses visitors recieve reflect upon Wikipedia as a whole. If someone has a problem with their PSP, describing them as 'stupid screwy breaking things' is neither helpful, nor relevant. Try to imagine what it would be like if you posted a proper question that you needed answering to a website, and that was the kind of response you got. Would you bother with that website again? Proto t c 15:58, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't think I'll bother with this website again either. I found this response cruel and disheartening. Kid Apathy 16:02, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
That's a shame, because many of your contributions to Wikipedia have been excellent. I'm sure one little remonstration won't stop you from continuing to help improving Wikipedia. Proto t c 16:06, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
No they haven't. Kid Apathy 16:08, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes they have. I looked through them. Proto t c 16:17, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

People can be mean here, and some lack a sense of humor, too. I prefer people who are nice and funny myself. Although I would stop at vandalizing pages, even if it is funny, because somebody has to take the time to fix it. That might seem funny if it happens once, but after a thousand times, it doesn't seem funny anymore. StuRat 11:58, 11 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your edits to Corn flakes

edit

Thanks for your contribution to Corn flakes, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the Sandbox to get started. I hope you can help us out!--Konstable 01:12, 22 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing the word "sic" from the quotation in 300 (film). The speaker used the wrong word, and it has been marked as such twice. Thanks.Arcayne 00:42, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Ajsh. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Boxy (futurama).jpg) was found at the following location: User:Ajsh. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:06, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
