Speedy deletion nomination of AthensCon
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on AthensCon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cabayi (talk) 08:37, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

Logos...
editSince you've drawn my attention to the logos. File:San Diego Comic-Con International logo.svg is hosted on this wiki as a non-free fair use logo. c:File:AthensCon logo.jpg is hosted on Commons claiming a CC BY-SA 4.0 licence - a claim for which there is no evidence.
Commons is very particular in accepting ONLY copyright-free images. c:Handling Images in Commons. Copyright tutorial is a useful guide.
Your safe option is to delete the image from commons and re-upload to enwiki with a claim of non-free fair use - see Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 09:20, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks again you have been a great source of help AlbusTheWhite (talk) 09:54, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
The article AthensCon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Insufficient reliable, verifiable, independent sources to satisfy WP:NORG. Despite some improvement, still looks spammy.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cabayi (talk) 09:27, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

3rd block (one month)
editAlbusTheWhite (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
There had been no warning for the 3rd block, I have attempted discussion as can been seen on the talkpage numerous times 1 also see 2,3. I did not intend to vandalise or disrupt the article. I am sorry for every trouble I could have caused in any case and I do not intend to change the images of any Greece-related page because I know that I will certainly be blocked again
Decline reason:
"No warning for the 3rd block" -- why should there be? The first and second blocks should suffice as warnings that your behavior was unacceptable. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 18:56, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I don't understand. You know people object to these edits when it comes to this (and other) article(s). You get reverted every time you attempt this. You do not try to discuss and reach consensus about these on the article talk page first. What result are you expecting? El_C 03:53, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- I have attempted talking about the use of these images on the talkpage but the response is not there. Also how is it possible the important historical figures get left out. Also the addition about the wildlife of Greece has been reverted that has no connectionto the as said "issue" AlbusTheWhite (talk) 06:50, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Even if you found the responses lacking, what you ought to have done was to take advantage of your dispute resolution resources to get outside input. El_C 06:55, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Yet again as I said the edits were not something absurd, they were mainly corretion of images, many deletions as well to avoid sandwiching and writing contribution to the wildlife of Greece. Firstly I find it illogical to block someone because of some well intended edits on an an article (not to mention the complete absenese of any form of warning). This time there was no edit warring and the subject of the edits was completely different to the previous ones. It is totally ridiculous to include images of Angelokastro, the White Tower of Thessaloniki and a fake drawing of the Greek army throug Arc de triomphe that have no historical importance to Greece's journey at the periods described in the passages and are totally out of context! Finally I must admitt that I had no knowledge dispute resolution resources but I must say that it is somewhat dubious that you mention it for the first time now. I just wanted to improve an article based on historical facts and give a better view of what Greece and Greece's history have been. Had I been given the opportunity I would have done it again because I really feel that the article does not do Greece justice. So thank you my friend for blocking for the third time for such an absurd reason and I really wish that next time you block someone please be more thougtful and do a basic research of his edits. Have a good time and as a good man said "Prouver que j'ai raison serait accorder que je puis avoir tort." AlbusTheWhite (talk) 07:13, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Finally I must admitt that I had no knowledge dispute resolution resources but I must say that it is somewhat dubious that you mention it for the first time now.
Nonsense. Dispute resolution is also mentioned in the warning I gave you on 16 September, a warning you removed from yout talkpage, not to mention two more edit-warring notices in August, by Jingiby and FPaS, and myself, and Jingiby since August 2018. You methodically blank all warnings to you from your talkpage and you ignore the avalanche of warnings you've been getting over the past year due to your forced insertion of images in Greece-related articles by edit-warring. As far as edit-warring images and fixed-image sizes on Greece, you have been doing this for a very long time and you have been warned by multiple editors, but you seem oblivious to that fact while continuously edit-warring the dumping of images on Greece for more than a year now. Dr. K. 15:59, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- I will not repeat again what I have being saying all that time. I did not insert immages I just changed them and deleted some. I also added text based on the wildlife of Greece. As you said yourself I deleted your warnings from my Talkpage immediately so I did not have a chance to grasp your help and I am guilty of that. But yet again the issue here is that this third blocking came TOTALLY without a warning. You are really going backwards with that attitude and preventing helpful edits that enrich an article and make it up to date (Additions about Tsitsipas, Lanthimos and Antetokoumpo) as well as informing about areas not mentioned (Fauna of Greece). Even after all that you didn't made even a new edit but without a second thought reverted all my edits without judging if some are useful (better image resolutions for Mani, Iniochos, Alexander and the tomb of Atreus). You act like a criminal gang taking authority over something that just plain simple does not belong to you. The obvious and sad result is an article that represents Greece stuck in 2008 with low resolution images, historically fabricated images such as the one of Greek soldiers in Paris, and completely out of context pictures such as the two maps of Greece portraying the same land aspirations of the Greek state and not to mention the absurd use of "Angelokastro" an insignificant fortress in the medieval history of Greece as a whole. I will also insist on the removal of the exterior of Hagia Sophia as a representation of Medieval Greece (surrounded by modern blocks of flats). An article of a sovereign state desrves something better than low quality articles. I am sad not only beacause of such a representation but also about the false impressions it will leave to future visitors.I will bid you goodbye with a proverb: “Qui n’avance pas, recule” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYNRxev8f1c AlbusTheWhite (talk) 17:37, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Please limit usage of this talk page to an unblock request only, or your talk page access will be revoked for the remainder of the block. That includes "criminal gang" personal attacks. El_C 17:40, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

AlbusTheWhite (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
There was no warning for the third block and the first and second blocks were based on totally different edits even if they were on the same article. As a solution I suggest somehow to block me from editing the Greece page (since all the blocks and havoc stems from my edits on that specific page and the usage of images there) and allow me to continue editing, contributing and creating other articles
Decline reason:
You know perfectly well there's no guarantee you'll get warnings prior to a block. You had two prior blocks. You are expected to thoroughly read and understand Wikipedia's policies so there should be no need for future blocks. Yamla (talk) 20:03, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
I totally understand the reasons for my blocking and I stand by my saying that I will not repeat those mistakes. However, the problem only concerns the Greece-page so I suggest to ban me somehow from the Greece page and allow me to continue editing. AlbusTheWhite (talk) 15:21, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Please state clearly and concisely the reasons for your block and what you will do differently. We will stipulate a WP:TBAN on Greece once you are unblocked. -- Deepfriedokra 16:03, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
I have come to the realisation that my constant edits and reverts in the article Greece resulted in edit-warring. I had no right to impose my opinions on others and that I should have first reached consience on thr Talkpage. However I do not suggest a WP:TBAN on Greece but a WP:ABAN on Greece article because a lot of my editing concerns articles related to Greek history and culture and thus I could not provide any possitive help or contribute in any way in Wikipedia in the future as I have done in the past. Please take that into consideration.AlbusTheWhite (talk) 17:03, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Christmas carols, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Greek (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
