Me again. I've done some improvements on this article and would like your opinions so far. And, should I have separate 1-2 paragraphs for each of the different series (Single role-playing games, Paper Mario series, Mario & Luigi series, Remakes)? Like, under each header, as each of them are pretty distinct and can't really be described in the same paragraph? Le Panini [🥪] 05:54, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Le Panini: I would tbh just describe each series briefly in the lead - I don't think this is a complex enough set of items that you need prose outside of the lead and the items' annotations. I can go through the list and give you the notes I would've given if I were reviewing it for FLC (I love these games and would like for it to have a good chance at FL) - @ me if I haven't gotten to it by the end of the weekend!--AlexandraIDV 06:14, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

- Alexandra IDV, To be honest, I'm not seeing any further edits that would or need changing on this list. Unless if you see any glaring issues, would it be a good idea to simply start the FLC now? Panini🥪 02:44, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

So, this is quite the predicament, huh?
Okay, I bet I've made it clear that my initial plans were to promote the Paper Mario series to good topic. However, after a comment here and confirmation here, this is not allowed; the topic must cover EVERY Mario RPG or bust. So... uh...
This is a big setback. I know I've been nagging you a lot recently, and I'm not outta here just yet. I was wondering if you could help me with my new and much bigger project, by curating the Mario & Luigi series portion of the topic. Of course, I'm gonna actively contribute on these articles, but I would appreciate more hands while I finish up the Paper Mario portion and work on Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Bros. Edition and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle sometime in the near future. If you're too busy, or simply really don't want to, then I totally understand. Panini🥪 04:02, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- Mmmm. We're doing MLSS first, but I can put some work into the other M&L articles too - I do like these games and want to see them covered well on WP. I do have other things I want to get done too on WP, though (I'm still working on my massive World of Darkness project of bringing all the lists to FLC and all the video game articles to GA) so I can't promise to devote 100% of my time to Mario RPGs.--AlexandraIDV 06:57, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- Alexandra IDV, Actually, after even more discussion here, I can get by with a PM good topic if it has it's own series article. I've started a draft here. Panini🥪 00:05, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- Panini! Well, good luck! Are you still going forward with the FLC?--AlexandraIDV 02:43, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- Alexandra IDV, Depends, I'm simply not bold enough; do you think it's in a good enough of a position to begin the FLC process? That is, after I address the comments on the PR. If you mean in terms of in general, I've gone this far, it shouldn't be too much work. Panini🥪 02:45, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- In my experience, FLC is not a difficult process so much as a lengthy one, with a lot of waiting for reviews - it typically takes a month or more for a list to get promoted. You may get some comments you need to address, but overall the lesser focus on prose in these lists makes them easier to pass. After you've addressed the PR comments, I absolutely think you could go ahead and nominate it.--AlexandraIDV 03:05, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Panini!: (oops, forgot to ping you)--AlexandraIDV 03:06, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I'm temporarily watching this page due to how much I've been in your hair recently. Panini🥪 03:07, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- Alexandra IDV, Hey, look, I'm back. I've received some comments at the FLC, but since I'm inexperienced with list articles, I'm confused on the jargon. I hope you know what this means?
-
- "how much information is thrust into each cell"
- "Release years by system should be its own sortable column"
- "Title should be sortable as well"
- "Is {{Video game titles}} WP:ACESS compliant?" Panini🥪 18:17, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

- I responded and tagged PresN, who is an FLC delegate and a VG editor. The commenter is talking about the layout/formatting of the template the list is using - how it does not have a sorting function (as in, readers can't sort entries alphabetically etc) and the amount of information per cell (which is the name for a single "box" within a data table). I'd just wait until PresN responds.--AlexandraIDV 19:35, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Makoto Naegi
Just created an article for the visual novel character Makoto Naegi. For now, I'm only related to the first Danganronpa, so comments about the sequels in the reception section might be revised. Could you give it a look or ask for a user who might know of this series?Tintor2 (talk) 21:33, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- Tintor2 Apologies, I think I've missed this. I'll try to take the time to look at it.--AlexandraIDV 03:09, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- No problem. I managed to give a proper expansion thanks to the fandom's sources and another editor's. What seems to be lacking more is a prose revision and an expansion for his role in the 3rd Hope's Peak anime to be a B class.Tintor2 (talk) 12:36, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- BTW, I created Rintaro Okabe but I don't have knowledge of the visual novels he is from since I only watched the anime adaptations. Feel free to clean it up if you are interested since I think you were the one who brought almost all those Steins Gate articles to GA.Tintor2 (talk) 16:11, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

Hey Alexandra. Was wondering if you had this book. I was interested in working on Garage (video game) and it looks to have a lot of information on the game. GamerPro64 03:41, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- @GamerPro64: Ohh, it's this game, I recall people talking about it back when it was considered "lost". I don't have that book, but Hardcore Gaming 101 has put up the Garage feature from it on their website.--AlexandraIDV 12:47, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
Editing the Mario & Luigi articles
I know you have good intentions, but please reconsider what you are doing in regards to editing the articles for the Mario & Luigi games. In my view, the alternate text is unnecessary and the remake’s cover art was distinguishable enough from the original game to catch readers’ attention.
~ DatAlphaLion DatAlphaLion (talk) 23:51, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- @DatAlphaLion: Hello, alt text is not at all unnecessary - it is an accessibility feature for readers with impaired vision (see MOS:ALTTEXT for more information). Regarding the second cover art, due to copyright laws we cannot use non-free images just for decorative purposes. Having one non-free cover art image for purposes of identification, at the top of the article, can be argued to fall under fair use - but to have another one, you need further rationale. (see WP:NFCCP).--AlexandraIDV 23:59, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School
Not the biggest expert in the series, but I think I managed to expand most of creation and reception sections of Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School. I asked for a copyedit in the guild since in my prose is not that good. Still, for some reason I barely found two reviews about Hope finale. By any chance did you find any review that focuses on that. I removed the sources from the talk page since the Future and Despair arcs already seems to have enough references to avoid "x says y". About the prequel Killer Killer, a user created an article for that so I don't know if we should put it in a see also rather than another infobox. Anyway, cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 20:39, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'll try to remember to take a look at it, but although I like Danganronpa as a whole, the DR3 anime really did not leave much of an impression on me...--AlexandraIDV 22:16, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Created List of Danganronpa media too. So many books *heavy breathing*........Tintor2 (talk) 01:20, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- The End of Hope's Peak High School became GA. Not sure what to do edit next since I still haven't played V3 or the issues with Hajime's draft. There was also an idea to make Kyoko's article but such user turned out to be a sockpuppet. Still, in case you are into it, maybe the first two games could be GA based on recentyl added stuff? At least that's what I did with .hack//G.U. when coonimating it with another user as well as after requesting a copyeditor. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 12:48, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Nicely done. I have less interest in articles about fictional elements (like characters, but good luck if you do try to make a Kyoko article), but I certainly would be interested in seeing DR1/2/V3 at GA level... I am currently also working on a lot of tabletop RPG articles though. So much I want to do and only so many hours in a day. I do highly recommend V3 btw, it's an excellent game.--AlexandraIDV 13:16, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- I tried expanding the reception section, trimming the quotes and dividing the paragraphs. However, I'm kind of lost. Last time I wrote a reception section was for FFVII's remake but I don't know which topic should be divided. Feel free to be bold. Also, I'm couldn't find information about the what if and school modes from the Vita version to source the gameplay. The plot section seems reasonable at least for me though I'll ask for a copyedit.Tintor2 (talk) 19:13, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
Congrats on another WoD FL!
Just promoted the Mage list; out of curiosity, how many of these do you plan on doing? Your lists were the impetus for breaking out a #Recreation subsection at WP:FL, and it's starting to look like I'll be breaking out a further subsection for tabletop RPGs just for you. --PresN 04:14, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
- @PresN: Thank you! I plan to do at least List of Vampire: The Dark Ages books, List of Werewolf: The Apocalypse books, and List of World of Darkness tabletop role-playing games, in addition to the currently nominated List of Wraith: The Oblivion books. I could (and possibly will just to get everything covered) do lists for the 2004 reboot series as well, although I'm personally less familiar with those games and don't currently know how many of them have enough books to warrant stand-alone lists.--AlexandraIDV 05:12, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
- @PresN: Well... Scratch that. I'll try to do the work I got asked to do for Wraith (on the Wraith nomination page and on the FLC talk page), but considering this massive amount of extra work for every list, any more TTRPG FLCs seem unfeasible anytime soon unless I start churning out tons of stub articles (which I'm not comfortable with doing).--AlexandraIDV 13:42, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
- So, I disagree with TRM, I think- I agree with "we should redlink notable books that don't have articles", and I agree that "it's awkward to have a list of redlinks", but I don't think it follows that "nominators should go and create a dozen articles so that the links turn blue". That seems off. (how many books in that list do you think are notable enough to have articles? Are you implying all of them "should" be linked?) I'll comment at WT:FLC. --PresN 15:08, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Hajime and Izuru
Yesterday I created Hajime Hinata after making some research. Still, there is a discussion about what the article should be named. Feel free to pass to provide your ideas. Also, could you revise the article's infobox? I haven't read the original light novel where Izuru originates so I have no idea if some parts of the infobox should be removed kinda like you did with Makoto. - There just was an AfD on Hajime last month, and I wonder if this one really has addressed the GNG concerns (one thing we noted was that Hajime p much only seems to be covered in reviews of games/anime) tbh--AlexandraIDV 04:45, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Copyedit and possible nomination
The article Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was just copyedited. I'm not sure about nominating it due to the size. The biggest game article I nominated was .hack//G.U. but that was a coonmination with another user. If you feel like it, we can nominate it. By the way, I'm about to start the final chapter to V3. The fifth chapter sure was fillled with twists.Tintor2 (talk) 14:06, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- Cool! The gameplay section does not seem to be fully backed up by sources, though? That's something we'd have to do something about before nominating for GA.--AlexandraIDV 14:10, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
I can't seem to find info about the What If? features from reliable sources as google instead carries random words in reliable sources while the wikia instead mentions the the novel by Narita titled Danganronpa IF.Tintor2 (talk) 14:28, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

@Link20XX: The Danganronpa article is being reviewed but still the user has not provided points to cover. If possible could the any of you revise if I'm not that active? Tomorrow I might be busy due to some personal events. Due to guidelines content I had to tone down the plot to three paragraphs as it was kinda over 700 words. - I expanded Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair but I'll be a bit busier due to Judgment's review being delayed for a copyedit and Hajime Hinata's article. Still, Goodbye Despair's article feels quite smaller than the first game's.Tintor2 (talk) 23:20, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Wikiproject Video games Newsletter survey
I'm conducting another survey for the Wikiproject Video games Newsletter. If you could leave your thoughts on the matter it would be greatly appreciated. Every response will be compiled into a MOS-Esque answer that balances the thoughts of our top contributors. You're one of them! The question is as follows:
What would you consider the requirements of making a video game series article? What about franchise articles?
If you would like to respond, please ping me here and write your reply. I'll handle the rest. Thanks in advance, Panini!🥪 14:47, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Panini!: I would mainly consider: does the series meet the GNG as a series (as opposed to only individual games doing so), and is this the best way of presenting the information to our readers? A series might have a lot of coverage in reliable sources, but if it only consists of two games, a series article would likely largely duplicate those games' articles, and it might be better to just cover it within those individual articles. Another scenario, which goes against the classic "at least three games" guideline, would be something like the two-game series Digital Devil Saga: that one is still fine, because the series page is in place of articles for the individual games, and was determined to be the best way of presenting that information.--AlexandraIDV 19:20, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

- @BOZ: I responded. I think this source is fine, but despite it being an in my view subject-matter expert source and reliable, it certainly is weaker as a mostly one-man operation than more established magazines and websites. We'll see how the discussion progresses, but I don't think this is a massively important source for most articles, so even if consensus turns out to be that it should be depricated I'm not too concerned. The largest "loss" that I'm aware of would probably be its use in the Hunter: The Vigil reception section, but I can make do without it even there.--AlexandraIDV 14:50, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

Abryn retiring
Alexandra any thoughts on why Abryn retired, its so unfortunate to see her retire like that, it might be because of Talk:Billy Tipton. 49.149.117.37 (talk) 04:26, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- I think she wanted a break. I am friends with her outside WP, but I don't think it's my place to divulge information on her.--AlexandraIDV 04:30, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- Ow ok. Just wondering, because she placed a retired template. I've been editing her sandbox since 2019 and a fan of her. Thanks. 49.149.117.37 (talk) 04:36, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
Backstab
I think you probably noticed, but I found 15 issues of Backstab on archive.org, which has been rather helpful so far. Having taken a look, it appears to be a sister magazine to Arcane - at least, they use a lot of the same graphic design, fonts, and icons, and were published around the same time, so that doesn't appear to be a coincidence. I would like to have a Backstab (magazine) article to match what you've done with Casus Belli and was hoping the French version would have some usable sources, but alas it has none at all. :( BOZ (talk) 12:24, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- @BOZ: It's slightly related to Arcane in that it early on licensed graphics and some articles from Arcane's publisher Future plc, but its content was mostly original and it outlived Arcane by many years (god, do I wish Arcane had stuck around for longer, too... at least Casus Belli is still around). I'd like to see an article about it, too, but it seems to be pretty hard to find sources covering other magazines, unfortunately.--AlexandraIDV 23:36, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Demon: The Descent
Someone started Draft:Demon: The Descent in case you are interested in that! BOZ (talk) 19:54, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- I have less personal interest in Chronicles of Darkness than the original WoD series, and I have some other articles planned too, but I have been meaning to write a DTD article. I might do it after doing some work on the original Demon: The Fallen.--AlexandraIDV 20:48, 18 August 2021 (UTC)

the phantom blood jojo edit
I wrote that because in the translated manga and anime it has said that “his curiosity got the best of him”, and yeah. Sorry to disturb you Mystic880 (talk) 05:19, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- No worries. I don't think
after it caused his curios father's death
communicates that very well, though - it just reads as describing a character trait apropos of nothing. Your edits to Phantom Blood since then look fine btw.--AlexandraIDV 05:33, 9 September 2021 (UTC) - @Mystic880: (just adding an @ since I messed up my previous edit)--AlexandraIDV 05:34, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
My bad, that character trait was unnecessary, and takes up space. Mystic880 (talk) 05:43, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
Chronicles of Darkness
I know that there used to be a lot more info about COD back when it was just called World of Darkness, and it was the primary line being published. I think the article went in a different direction when White Wolf shifted back to the original games, and a lot of COD material was removed from this article and the pages for most of the individual games.
Maybe I don't need to be explaining all this. You seem to have done a lot of work on many different WOD articles, so it's likely that you know more then me about it.
I would recommend digging through this article's edit history and restoring what was removed. --JDspeeder1 (talk) 23:26, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
- The current WoD series article tries to look at the series (both classic WoD and CofD) more broadly, to not get too deep into the fiction and game mechanics, and to only be based on coverage of the series in reliable sources. I think the type of more in-depth material from before the rewrite of the series article would make more sense in an article specifically about Chronicles of Darkness. Re:
and the pages for most of the individual games
- I have barely edited the articles for the individual CofD games so I don't know anything about that.--AlexandraIDV 11:40, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Is Draft:Demon: The Descent on your radar? BOZ (talk) 18:56, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- @BOZ: If you're talking to me: it is something I would like to get to but it is not a priority for me as I have little personal experience with the Chronicles of Darkness games.--AlexandraIDV 15:01, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
