Combichrist Template
editThank you for your help and assistance! I've been a huge fan for years and have noticed the slow growth of their Wikipedia article and wanted to contribute. I plan on adding more once I graduate highschool and have the free time necessary to hunt down sources. Thanks again and may we coincidentally collaborate again! --Mutlee (talk) 16:49, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- No problem! Just add what you can when you can, the same as I do. Between us, I think we can do a decent job on the Combichrist articles. I'm going to see them next month, I can't wait! Alinblack (talk) 17:39, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

editHi,
Thanks for your message on my Talk page.
In regards to listing the video directors, I went to YouTube and typed in the different videos and found out their names that way.Sfinn85 (talk) 00:02, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Sfinn85
Cradle
editHey Al. How ARE we defining 'associated acts', do you reckon? I've always thought it was kind of nebulous. If it's a sort of rock-family-trees thing of bands that have shared members with Cradle, then some of Strife82's suggestions just then were actually not stupid, for once. Adrian Erlandsson was in The Haunted for a while, for example. What do you think? Cardinal Wurzel (talk) 08:18, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- That's fair enough, but like I said when I removed them, 'Why are they accociated?' He's made no mention anywhere as to why the bands were added. If he added something in the article somewhere that for example 'Ardian left Cradle in this year and went on to join The Haunted' then that's ok. I know how all the other bands that are there are related to Cradle, but you get that many additions of either false info, or really a tedious link (not to mention the constant changing of genre) If you know how any of the bands he mentioned are associated, feel free to add them. Coming from you, I know it's gonna be reliable! The fact that he started adding stuff to do with genre, (as well as not having known how the acts he suggested were associated) was the reason I reverted it all.Alinblack (talk) 11:26, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- No, I agree with you. Without any explanation anywhere on the page of how 'associated' is defined, it's kind of a meaningless category. I'd like to remove it completely, to be honest. It just seems like a place for people to list their favourite bands, to me. Someone put Slipknot on there the other day... They definitely don't share any members! :D Cardinal Wurzel (talk) 12:26, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Really?! I didn't see that! Lol. The only thing Cradle and Slipknot have in common was Roadrunner Records. And thats a tenuous link at best! It does seem an odd cetegory to put on there. I can understand the reasoning though to an extent. But (as an example) Orbs and Abigail Williams, that relate because of Ashley Ellyllon, seem a but useless because she wasn't in the band that long. Whereas Anathema being on because of Martin Powell seems fair, because he worked with the band quite some time, including the iconic Midian album. But more deservedly so is Sarah Jezebel Deva, who worked with Mortiis, Therion, Angtoria and her own SJD band. and yet none of them are mentioned. And if anyone as a long standing 'member' of the band dererves some credit, it's Sarah. (Yes, even though she's never been an 'official' member) But personally, I'm not overly fussed about the related acts section. I'd not be sorry to see it go... It's one less section for abuse. Lol. Speedy deletion declined: Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666/Razorblade Romance/Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights
editHello Alinblack. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666/Razorblade Romance/Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: {{db-album}} only applies where the artist has no article, but HIM (Finnish band) do have one. This may well fail WP:NALBUMS, but you will have to use PROD or AfD. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 16:04, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 11
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mythology in Rick Riordan's works, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hel. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

editPlease do not restore content at an incorrect namespace by copypasting it, even if it is content you originally added to Wikipedia. Please see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (music); songs that are released as singles are still disambiguated by the fact that they are songs. Ss112 05:53, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:MassiveEgo(2016).jpg
editThanks for uploading File:MassiveEgo(2016).jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 15:50, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I found Uberbyte, which you created once upon a time. It's been unsourced and tagged for notability ever since, and I personally can't find any significant coverage of the band other than this review, which looks fine but is not enough to establish notability. Do you know if any other coverage is out there? Thanks in advance! Lennart97 (talk) 15:38, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
