Proposed deletion of Gust Tsilis

edit

The article Gust Tsilis has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I am Gust Tsilis and I'm tired of having a page which has no real information about what I do. So what do I do to get this changed, by me the actual person?

I'm not sure what you mean by "tired of having a page..." when the article has only been created today, but as you are the subject of the article, you have a conflict of interest and should avoid editing it. It may also be that you do not meet wikipedia's criteria for notability and so there will be no article here - this is an encyclopaedia rather than a place for you to provide information about what you do. In terms of your conflict of interest, see the paragraph below which explains what you should do and gives some links to guidelines you should read:
  Hello, Alithea1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Gust Tsilis, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:
  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 04:45, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Article about you

edit

Thanks for your message on my talk page. So you are talking about the article on German wikipedia here: Gust Tsilis is that right? Unfortunately I can't help you too much, as I don't speak German and don't know anything about editing on the German wikipedia. For an article about yourself on the English wikipedia, WP:BIOSELF explains some courses of action. I would assume the German wikipedia has a similar process. I have put an admin help request below this paragraph to see if someone will be able to advise you. Regards, Melcous (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Is there an admin who can advise Alithea what to do about a German wiki article about himself that he believes is inaccurate and would like to see deleted? Thanks, Melcous (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

While I'm not an admin, the dewiki page, de:Wikipedia:Artikel über lebende Personen is linked to from the language links on the enwiki page, en:Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons and the section on the German page, de:Wikipedia:Artikel über lebende Personen#Umgang mit Artikeln über sich selbst (which my very basic German knowledge and Google translate tells me means "Articles about living people#Handling with articles about yourself") says that you should go to the Contact page at de:Wikipedia:Kontakt, or write something at the article's talk page. Maybe you could find someone who is a native speaker of German and ask them to ask for help on the German wiki talk page - maybe?  Seagull123  Φ  11:19, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
There isn't an administrative process here on the English Wikipedia to resolve German Wikipedia editorial problems. Their best bet is to go to the administrative pages on the German Wikipedia to resolve their issues. Mkdwtalk 23:10, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Gust Tsilis

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gust Tsilis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.europejazz.net/alithea1. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
