editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Deneb Karentz has been reverted.
Your edit here to Deneb Karentz was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pw2F58Q1ckc) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 08:26, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, I thought I'd clarify the automated notice above. Typically links out to other websites nee to in references, rather than in the main text. Some pages retain a few external links from back in the early 2000s, but these days automated bots (like the one above) tend to remove them. Keep up the good work! DYK for Helen Fricker
editOn 1 July 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Helen Fricker, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Helen Fricker was a member of the first group to drill into an Antarctic subglacial lake? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Helen Fricker. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Helen Fricker), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
Section headings
editI saw your recent edits at Jenny Baeseman. Among other things, you changed the section headings from "sentence case" (only the first word is capitalized, except for proper nouns) to "Title Case" (most words are capitalized.) I understand that instinct, but Wikipedia actually has guidelines for such things, and sentence case is the standards. I will take care of changing the headers in that article back to sentence case. Thanks for your efforts! --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:57, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
