editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Jacobo Arenas, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. The recent edit you made to Jacobo Arenas constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to remove content from articles without explanation. Thank you. Killiondude (talk) 06:11, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
editsome great investigation you are doing on the haiti earthquake page... please realize however you are putting your info in the wrong section... it probably belongs in "geology" but I don't know... regardless it is very controversial but I will support you... this edit will be ***easier to support*** if you start putting in in a section and NOT in the beginning, thank you and KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!! October 2010
editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2010 Ecuador crisis. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Lihaas (talk) 21:56, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
re: revert
editI've replied on my talk. Long story short: don't revert hours of work for something you can simply re-add. Xavexgoem (talk) 22:48, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
While it's fine that you "DISAGREE", you're not going to get edits kept if you have edit summaries in all caps. I'm an involved admin, so I'm not going to do anything, but you should consider this a warning. Remember staying cool when editing gets hot... just calmly explain what your concern is on the article's talk page. This is a collaboration, not a war. Don't sweat it too much, ok? Xavexgoem (talk) 23:25, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- Have you considered taking it to the reliable sources noticeboard? Xavexgoem (talk) 04:14, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
If there's another source supporting, please provide that source if it's within WP:RS for the hoax theory. Lord knows we love a good conspiracy, so I'm not against its inclusion if it's well sourced. Xavexgoem (talk) 05:03, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
The source is there!!!! Can you see the citation?? the one next to it. HOAX? Conspiracy? Give me a break. THE SOURCE IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE BBC citation. at least take a moment to READ.--Amnesico29 (talk) 05:09, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Recent tagging of images for deletion
editYou recently tagged several images used in the article Paramilitarism in Colombia for speedy deletion, citing copyright issues. I declined these requests because WP:FAIRUSE rationales are provided for the images, and thus WP:CSD#F9 does not unequivocally apply in this case. You are welcome to nominate these images through the files for deletion process if you feel the fair use rationale is not justified. Thank you. --Kinu t/c 09:48, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Spanish wikipedia
editI'm sorry for the long delay responding; we just finished creating Wikipedia 0.8, and that had occupied my time for the article assessment system.
I think that the easiest way for me to discuss how the Spanish project could use the system is by email. It would be possible, but at the same time it would be a significant amount of work for whoever wants to be the bot maintainer. Could you email me using the "email this user" link on my user page, if you're still interested? — Carl (CBM · talk) 12:23, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Invitation to join WikiProject United States
editHi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
