Your edit of Bill O'Reilly controversy section

edit

Greetings, Amphicoelias. I'd say that there were a few things wrong with the edit. For one, the substance of the edit - what you actually write - should indicate the existence of a real controversy and what you wrote didn't really do that. Lots of people deriding a statement by a TV pundit isn't really evidence of a significant (WP:DUE WEIGHT) controversy, which by definition has two sides. Secondly, if O'Reilly's statement did lead to a significant controversy it should have been reported by far weightier sources (WP:RS) than "Know Your Meme;" if you can find more substantial news sources than that one then, by all means use them (I will admit, however, that a few of the other sources used in that section of the article are pretty weak). Thirdly, if the "can't explain that" "controversy" is included, it should really have a more encyclopedic (WP:NPV) heading than You can't explain that! Regards. Might be best not to point out his IP. ;) -- A Certain White Cat chi? 19:29, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Well I just had to say something about it (He did point it out in his latest video), so i kept to "Hank" (instead of "OMG Hank Green edited Wikipedia and i found his edits" :D). Anyway I'm pretty sure his IP changes from time to time and I don't think people will start stalking him on Wikipedia. dftba Amphicoelias (talk) 19:37, 7 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
