about me
editI maintain my own personal wiki. At the moment I'm most interested in learning how to administer and maintain that, as well as learning about namespaces, templates, categories, images, and other sundry things.

Adoption
editHello, Anamacha, and welcome to Wikipedia. :) I received your note about adoption, and I see that you have spoken with several others about this also. I am certainly open to offering assistance. You might want to read my userpage section on adoption to get an idea of whether I am the best adopter for your purposes. Looking at your "about me" section above, you may have more technological interests than I can satisfy. :) I am more likely to assist you in navigating the policies and procedures on Wikipedia and dealing with other editors. Let me know if I can help. --Moonriddengirl 12:21, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, I read your adoption request and would love to help you, unfourtunately college work is draining a lot of my editing time in Wikipedia, I don't think that choosing me as a adopter at this moment is the best option for a user seeking help understanding the system, however I am available if you need help with any situation that requires it, thanks for your time. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:11, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, I'd be pleased to help you, though, as Moonriddengirl, I'm more able to help you with policy and such than the technological stuff. Hope to see you around, I am definitely willing to adopt you! Love, Neranei (talk) 01:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Adoption
editSure, but be warned when I said "technical", I meant the basic stuff for newcomers. Wikiformatting yes, namespaces yes, general advice yes, categories yes, use of templates yes, creation of basic templates maybe, good cheer and helpful life advice possibly, bots no, monobook stuff no, complex template coding and syntax no. Anything that doesn't involve coding, I'm your man. If you're happy with that, your first mission will be to replace the userbox on your user page with:
{{adoptee|Neil}}
My talk page is open 24/7 for any questions you have, and you can always email me. Good luck! Neil ☎ 08:39, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think I did it! *grin* I'll mail you shortly. --Anamacha 07:01, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well done! I can only check my email when at home, so will have a look in a few hours. :) Neil ☎ 14:11, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
