Draft:Zero has a value

edit

I noticed that on Draft:Zero has a value you claim all rights reserved and disallow reproduction. This violates Wikipedia's policy, which automatically places content under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and GFDL. These licenses both allow your content to be reproduced and modified freely by anyone as long as you are given credit.

There are two options here: we can list the draft for speedy deletion, or you can agree to the terms of Wikipedia's licenses. —Guanaco 14:04, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Just to emphasize the point, at the top of every edit window in Wikipedia there is this statement:
Content that violates any copyrights will be deleted. Encyclopedic content must be verifiable. Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone—subject to certain terms and conditions.
And at the bottom of every edit window there is this statement:
By saving changes, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license.
If you aren't willing to abide by these terms, then Wikipedia is not the place for your writing. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:48, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
You have recreated this draft and it is again in violation of the Terms of Use. As User:Guanaco and User:Drm310 have already pointed out, you cannot claim that it is protected or copyrighted as you do with "Protected with all rights By Angel Viera (C) May 27, 2017 USA". Meters (talk) 05:46, 27 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
I see you have removed this notice now, so the copyright concerns have been resolved. However, I think you should look over Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought, as this is what your draft appears to resemble. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:55, 27 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Drm310: The copyright claim has not been removed. It is buried about three-quarters of the way through the text of the draft. Meters (talk) 18:05, 27 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Meters: You're right, I missed that - good catch. @Angel viera: As long as this copyright statement exists, it will always be deleted. If you aren't willing to allow your contributions to be permanently and irrevocably released under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License, then please stop submitting them. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:11, 27 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Zero has a value

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Zero has a value requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from {{{value1}}}. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I noted your comments on the talk page of the deleted article. If your goal is "telling people about (your) trajectory" and "telling people about (your) career", please use a more appropriate venue such as a personal website or social media. That is not what Wikipedia is for. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:49, 5 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
