Thank you for finding that picture of Beau McCoy!--Rayc (talk) 05:27, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Re: Beau McCoy
editRe your message: I deleted the content that you added because it read like a campaign flyer and imparted no real information about him. See Wikipedia:Avoid peacock terms and Wikipedia:Avoid weasel words. I removed the content about the legislation that he introduced because in the long-term, it has no notability and again reads like a campaign flyer. If you look at the article Nebraska Republican United States Senator Mike Johanns, you will see that it contains nothing that reads like a campaign flyer nor details about specific legislation that he has introduced. Wikipedia articles should be neutral biographies of people, not a mirror of campaign flyers.
I did not remove the content because of personal or ideological reasons. I removed it because the tone and content was inappropriate. I would have removed the same content from any Republican, Democrat, or Independent politician's article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:33, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
GOGO DODO I find you a 'weasel' and a 'peacock'. Please do NOT leave any more comments for me. I won't read them.Anglswings6510 (talk) 18:10, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Anglswings6510
- Added back some of the information, freerepublic was just quoting from something else- a Home School Legal Defense Association press release. The organization looks more professional than FR. Like Gogo Dodo said, it's all in the presentation. I'm interested in what counts a notability for these guys as I'm trying to get all of the senators up to par, or at least out of stub. Don't feel bad, you were doing a good job on Beau McCoy's page, the patrolers are just overly cautious on WP:BLPs. BTW, it looks like everyone is now using [1] tags now for references. I think i should move away from cite web ones myself.--Rayc (talk) 03:18, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Rayc thank you for being a gentleman, willing to help others learn, and not passing judgement on other's opinions. Thank you for allowing other's the freedom of speech and for your patience. Anglswings6510 (talk) 18:10, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Anglswings6510
