Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! March 2019

edit

  Hello, I'm Grayfell. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Josh Talks have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 06:20, 25 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Non-governmental organisations in India. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, ArosterEYN. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 06:22, 25 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your username represents a business or website

edit

Hello ArosterEYN, and welcome to Wikipedia. If you'd like to continue contributing encyclopedic information, please also choose a new username. Usernames representing companies, organisations, groups or websites are not allowed on Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Username policy). With only a few edits so far, you could simply abandon this account and start anew with an individual username. Another a bit more complicated option is to request a rename of your account, you'll find all necessary information in the blue-linked policy.

If you have any question regarding these messages or any other Wikipedia-related issue, please feel free to ask at WP:Teahouse, a forum for new editors. Volunteers there will be glad to help. GermanJoe (talk) 06:49, 25 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

List of schools in India

edit

  Hello. Your recent edit to List of schools in India appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 16:11, 7 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at List of Indian artists, you may be blocked from editing. - Arjayay (talk) 16:13, 7 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page The Poetry Society (India) has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. noq (talk) 16:13, 7 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
