Thank you for the welcome! I wish I figured out how to access this yesterday. I hope I submitted all the correct information so I can finish getting the page into compliance with the Wiki standards and guidelines. Thank you for your detailed assistance.ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 23:46, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
The article Easy A.D. has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no reliable references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. --Animalparty! (talk) 22:44, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello, I'm awaiting notice of the unblock and username change so I can get the page into compliance. Please do no delete the page. I added at least 30 credible citations today. I thought I had more time to add more. My plan was to get all of the content on the page and then show where I got the information from. I realize that the links I added yesterday, which I thought served as references for the content, should have been included as citations instead. Do you know of any classes on wiki where I can sit with someone to learn how to edit the site better? Thank you ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 00:11, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Easy A.D. has been reverted.
Your edit here to Easy A.D. was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMRTbmXYIc0) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 06:04, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for letting me know. I'm just figuring out how to use this site. I joined yesterday. I changed the link and was in the process of addressing the other errors listed on the page when I was block. I'm hoping to be unblocked soon so I can get the Easy A.D. page under compliance with the Wiki standards and guidelines. Thank you. ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 00:13, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, ArtsucationAcademyNetwork. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Easy A.D., you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. --Animalparty! (talk) 19:46, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. I am reading through everything now. I submitted a request for a change of the username because I am an individual as I stated in the unblock request. There's a ticket created. I was also in the process of citing all the sources to show where the wording, language, and content came from. I compiled the wording from several sources. Please advise. Thank you.
Hello! The article Easy A.D. has many problems, primarily in that it is heavily biased and promotional. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a platform for advertisement, advocacy, promotion, or social networking. Please read policy on Neutral point of view and Verifiability. Loaded and subjective terms like "legendary", "exhilarating", "walking encyclopedia", etc. should not be presented as fact; seek to avoid such puffery and other Words that may introduce bias. On Wikipedia, we neutrally describe subjects based on coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, and articles should not be from a fan's point of view, nor resemble a press release. See also the policy on Biographies of living people. If you are a representative of Easy A.D. or any affiliated agency, you may have a conflict of interest as described above. Finally, references should be cited inline so that is clear which sources verify which statements: see Wikipedia:Citing sources for details. If you have specific questions about editing, please ask at the Teahouse. All the best, --Animalparty! (talk) 20:34, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello, I couldn't figure out how to access this page to respond to the emails. I just saw the link which is why I am just now responding to you. Thank you for letting me know which changes had to be made. I was in the process of adding the citations to show that the wording came from a variety credible sources including science journals. I can change the username to reflect that I am an individual if someone can walk me through the process. I submitted an appeal for unblocking my account. Your assistance is greatly needed. This page and information needs to be included on this site especially since people are studying Hip Hop in schools now. They need to be able to find correct information on the pioneers who started the culture and music. Thank you.ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 23:47, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Easy A.D. is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

I was in the process of adding citations when I was blocked. Please advise. I can change the username. I am an individual trying to add historic information on a living person. Please do not delete this page. It is needed. Easy A.D. is the co-founder of one of the first Hip Hop groups ever and his contributions made it possible for Hip Hop as we see experience it today. I submitted a request for unblock. Your assistance is needed and greatly appreciated. Thank you.ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 23:47, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

editYou should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you. Orange Mike | Talk 22:19, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
I just submitted an appeal. I couldn't figure out how to respond to these messages. I'm an extremely new user. This is not a spam account or a publicist. I am an individual. I just opened the account yesterday. I can change the username if someone can walk me through the steps please. Thank you very much. Your assistance with this matter is needed and greatly appreciated.
- It's not difficult. Just copy and paste {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below, fill in a new username of your choosing where it says "new username" and provide a reason where it says "Your reason here" (it does not have to be anything but "this username is not allowed" or somesuch) and have some patience. Make sure the new name does not conflict with the username policy: not a name of an organisation in your case. Good luck. Kleuske (talk) 23:36, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your prompt assistance with this matter. It is greatly appreciated. HipHopLover44 (talk) 02:19, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your prompt response. I hope this is correct.
- My pleasure. It should do the trick... Kleuske (talk) 23:41, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

I forgot to add the signature. Thank you. How will I know if it worked? Do I check back here or will I get another message? Do I stay logged in? When unblocked and username changed will I be able to edit the Easy A.D. page so it is in compliance with Wiki guidelines? Please advise. ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 23:50, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

It looks like I can edit again. It's getting late where I am now. I will continue to add citations over the next few days and I will read more of the guidelines. So much I have to become familiar with but I will get the hang of it. There are a lot of sources I have to include. There is a source for each line of the wording. I apologize for any concern my username may have caused. The page will be in compliance. You have my word. Thank you very much! ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 00:58, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
- Woah woah woah, slow down. You were unblocked for the purpose of changing your username at the page for doing so. You were not unblocked so you could go back to editing. Please change your username, first, before you go back to editing or you could face another block.--v/r - TP 02:53, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
My apologies. Where/how do I change the name? I thought it was something that would happen automatically.ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 03:10, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
I just completed the form with NEW and REASON. How do I know if I did it correctly? How soon can I check? ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 03:17, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
Is it the same password? If not how do I create a new one? I just tried to log in with both and the new one didn't work. The old one says there's no page for it. Please advise. Thank you. ArtsucationAcademyNetwork (talk) 03:20, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
