Try putting more than just an infobox in an article next time, okay? Text is useful. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 21:08, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, I'll try it next time... Artur.Linhart (talk) 19:34, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Problems with editing of wikipedia from the IP

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. The original message was: "Editing from 88.86.96.0/19 has been blocked (disabled) by East718" but the currently used IP 88.86.125.91 is my own server with public static IP within the blocked range where I can assure this is no open proxy. I was also logged in while to try to perform the editing, so I do not understand, why the edit was blocked if it has not been performed anonymously.

Accept reason:

I've granted you an IP block exemption, which will allow you to edit through the block. Please read the information below. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:44, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@East718:- in your opinion, is this range block still needed? PhilKnight (talk) 12:17, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I think I've figured this out. Whois gives SuperNetwork s.r.o. and a google search gives http://supernetwork.cz/ which says "hosting", so this is a {{webhostblock}}. PhilKnight (talk) 15:51, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, this is a webhosting range which should remain blocked. I generally never blocked IP ranges unless there was mass abuse/spambot activity coming from them. Artur, I'm pretty sure there's a way to let you edit from that IP through the block, but I haven't touched those admin tools in so long that I'm not sure how to do it. I'm leaving your block request open so someone more knowledgeable than me about this can come help you out. east718 | talk | 16:21, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

IP block exempt

edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:44, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
