Welcome!
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Andrew Yang, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! - Hi AsianAmericanAdvocate - as a fellow Asian-American, I hope you can make a lot of good contributions to the encyclopedia and improve our coverage of Asian-American topics as well as whatever other topics you may be interested in. Just bear in mind that Wikipedia is not a place to right great wrongs (WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS) - it might be better to seek talk page consensus first for some of the changes you want to make. editHello, I'm LuK3. I noticed that you recently removed content from Andrew Yang without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. -- LuK3 (Talk) 21:17, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- @LuK3: Hi LuK3, thanks for the constructive criticism. As a new Wiki editor, I am still learning the ropes. I have now commented on Andrew Yang's talk page about why I believe the COVID-19 diagnosis should be removed from his page. Looking forward to having more good faith discussions about this in the appropriate forum! AsianAmericanAdvocate (talk) 18:15, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello, I'm 1TWO3Writer. I noticed that you removed topically-relevant content from George Takei. However, Wikipedia is not censored. Please do not remove or censor information that directly relates to the subject of the article. If the content in question involves images, you have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide images that you may find offensive. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Wikipedia is meant to document notable events to create an unbiased platform of information. information. Blanking sections because of what you feel without citing proper sources is not a valid reason. 1TWO3Writer (talk) 21:18, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- @1TWO3Writer: My apologies. I have now added my comments to the appropriate forum in the talk page. Thanks! AsianAmericanAdvocate (talk) 18:17, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Eugene Gu shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - @GorillaWarfare: As a new Wikipedia editor trying to contribute to this body of knowledge in good faith, I was trying my best to fight against vandalism. The IP user not only made ad hominem attacks against me but also had an edit history of disparaging minorities and "critical race theory." This person also proudly admitted in edit comments that he or she was trying to ruin the subject of the article's reputation both on Google and on Wikipedia. Letting the vandalism stand in this situation without reverting the damage felt like an injustice and would reward bad faith behavior. Wikipedia should be a welcoming place to new editors who want to learn how to contribute constructively. Your threat to ban my account simply for not understanding the full range of tools at our disposal as editors to repair vandalism is quite intimidating to me. Please do not add or change content, as you did at George Takei, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Ifnord (talk) 16:23, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Ifnord: My apologies, I am learning the ropes here as a new editor. I have commented on the talk page for George Takei about why I believe the section should be removed. Looking forward to having further discussions there in good faith. AsianAmericanAdvocate (talk) 18:08, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hello. I would strongly encourage you to take a look (again?) at Ganesha811's caution that Wikipedia is not a place to right great wrongs (WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS). Even your choice of username may indicate to other editors that you may not want to adhere to the WP:NPOV policies. You may be accused of being a WP:SPA, only here to push a specific viewpoint in a specific topic. I'm not trying to discourage you from editing, quite the contrary. But, since this is very early in your Wikipedia efforts, may I suggest you simply create a new account (with a neutral username) and have a look at some of these links before you edit further. Cheers. Ifnord (talk) 18:37, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

Regarding the conversation on Theleekycauldron's talk page
editHello. Theleekycauldron has indicated that they don't wish to continue the conversation you began on their talk page (User talk:Theleekycauldron#Vandalism to Eugene Gu's page) and so I am posting here rather than resurrecting it. However I would like to point out that they were correct in redacting the remarks by the IP, and you should not try to restore continued remarks of that nature. I understand that you wish the record to show that the IP has been disruptive in that conversation, but I think the remaining non-redacted remarks as well as the leaving of placeholders where comments were redacted (as both TLC and now I have done) do that quite sufficiently. I understand that you are not concerned with the attempted outing, by your comments there, but we can't allow unsubstantiated claims that a BLP subject is editing their own article to remain, as it could be damaging to that individual as well. I have given the IP a final warning about their conduct and intend to block them if they continue their behavior. I understand that my being slow to intervene in this conversation has probably been very frustrating, as has been the subject of attacks by this IP user, but please try to keep your conversation focused on the content issue rather than allowing the IP to derail things. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about this. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 14:22, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 09:16, 8 June 2021 (UTC)- I think I was quite clear at [1]:
I will block you if you continue this edit war after protection expires. Please have a civil conversation here to achieve consensus before making changes to the article.
GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 09:18, 8 June 2021 (UTC)- I think it's pretty clear that you have a bias and an agenda against Eugene Gu, George Takei, Aziz Ansari, and other Asian Americans who have been #MeToo'ed without any actual underlying evidence other than accusations alone. Wikipedia has clear rules against including tabloid journalism hit pieces in the biographies of living persons, but these rules are enforced by biased editors like you GorillaWarfare. I will be leaving Wikipedia and am disgusted by how the undercurrent of racism pervades your team of editors. When history looks back on this sad era of accusations without evidence to destroy people's lives, I hope you will reflect upon your actions and the witch hunting you have done against people of color. Don't bother responding, or suit yourself, as I am disgusted by how Wikipedia editors conduct themselves and will leave this site permanently.AsianAmericanAdvocate (talk) 15:58, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- You had the opportunity to engage in civil discussion at Talk:Eugene Yu, and more than enough warnings about edit warring, but you chose to continue the edit war anyway. If you truly believe that this block was the result of bias, racism, or some other motive on my part, please feel free to file an unblock request using the instructions in the template to get an outside admin opinion.
