Truman Crawford

Thanx for your effort, but I reverted your edits to the Truman Crawford article. In the first place, Crawford could not possibly have seen the United States Air Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps while he was in high school, because the Academy was not founded until the year (1954) after he joined the Air Force (1963). Secondly, he also did not direct the Academy D&B Corps (known as The Flight of Sound). He directed the US Air Force Drum and Bugle Corps, which is the corps that he saw while in high school. He left the Air Force after rising to the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7) in only ten years (an almost unheard of accomplishment in those days) when the Air Force D&B Corps was disbanded in 1963. The USAF Academy corps, which he never directed still exists as the primary cadet marching music organization at the Academy (the Academy Band is comprised of active-duty enlisted Air Force musicians). After entering the Marines, Crawford's accomplishment of rising so high in the Air Force was vastly exceeded by his entering as a Sergeant and retiring as a full Colonel. I appreciate you input however I fail to see anything wrong. I put the link there because the Air Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps is the successor organization to the United States Air Force Drum and Bugle Corps. Me putting linking it to the article on the AFA's Drum and Bugle Corps is not me trying to say that he directed the band, but that they share the same lineage. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Dear AyodeleA2, I've had occasion to commend you several times for your indefatigable, continuing efforts on a variety of military related pages. You've done some excellent, continuing work - including this successor of the 87th Guards Rifle Regiment - on Soviet and post-Soviet military forces. So I thought it was time to introduce you to the other members of the Red Army editors' group - first among them right now Wreck Smurfy, creating Soviet division articles; Kges1901; also less frequently now Ryan.opel; and also not here now, but completed the mammoth List of infantry divisions of the Soviet Union 1917–57 page, W. Hello, AyodeleA2. Very good work on this article, and I look forward to many more contributions from you to this vast subject area. I don't have much to do with Soviet formations before or after WWII, so the only things I would mention is that it would be useful to add a link to the wartime division of the regiment, the 29th Guards Rifle Division, and also a citation to the 87th GRR receiving the Order of the Red Banner. Hi, I've seen your incredible work in (North Korea-Albania relations and Russia-Albania relations) and wanted to ask you if you could make an "Cuba-Albania relations" page (or name it Albanian-Cuba relations). I could help somehow since I have few Albanian sources in which the Albanian ambassador met Fidel Castro and offered him Albanian sweets and drink and Castro accepted the offer.
