== Tagish lake meteorite:
editHi there. First of all, I've been an editor here for several years, so I don't appreciate being pulled up on what the meaning of OR is. However you may need to review your naming conventions for articles. The term in the bracket is there to distinguish between articles of the same name. Tagish Lake is not the name of the meteorite, it's the place where it landed. To say that Tagish Lake is a meteorite is wrong, Tagish lake is a lake and the meteorite which landed in it is Tagish lake meteorite. If it landed somewhere else, say New York, it'd New York meteorite. Otherwise it's just a meteorite. It wasn't named Tagish Lake before it landed. Let's keep this discussion on the talk page - I've got it on my watchlist. Cheers, Spawn Man (talk) 02:13, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Wold Cottage
editThanks for straightening out the format on Wold Cottage. My quick fix was crude and I wanted to go back and correct it once I found out what the right format tag was. Appreciate you're doing so for me. 21:12, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Salmui Charcuterie
editSalumi
editYour definition is overly simplified, all salumi is not aged over 3 weeks. Both share the basics, as do the German variations on forcemeat production, along with the French charcuterie, which I only picked as the merged article as it had the most information which I used to merge the two article. Perhaps the article is best renamed something that multiple cultures share, neither making the title French or Italian centric, would you have a suggestion? I have some thoughts but would be open to hearing yours first.--Chef Tanner (talk) 01:12, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Your repeated spamming of wikipedia with commercial websites
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
Dear Basilicofresco. Are you the owner of the commercial websites that you repeatedly insist on linking to? If so, please stop spamming Wikipedia with your repeated links to commercial websites.
Wikipedia's rules against SPAMMING by COMMERCIAL websites are clear:
External link spamming
Main articles: Links normally to be avoided and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest Adding external links to an article or user page for the purpose of promoting a website or a product is not allowed, and is considered to be spam. Although the specific links may be allowed under some circumstances, repeatedly adding links will in most cases result in all of them being removed."
"One should avoid Links to web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services". If you are still unclear on what a "commercial" website consists of try removing all of the URL except the root domain. If that leads to a site that exists primarily to sell products or services then you probably don't want to link to it.
If you still are not clear on which websites you have link to are COMMERCIAL websites then please review this listing of commercial meteorite websites: http://www.meteorite.com/dealer_list.htm
"Affiliate links Even if they are related to the subject or is an official page for the subject, external links containing affiliate or referral codes can be considered spam."
" The References section is for references. A reference directs the reader to a work that the writer(s) referred to while writing the article. The References section of a Wikipedia article isn't just a list of related works; it is specifically the list of works used as sources. Therefore, it can never be correct to add a link or reference to References sections if nobody editing the text of the article has actually referred to it."
ALL of the "references" and "external links" to commercial websites that were removed appeared to be rather blatant attempts by commercial websites to drive traffic to themselves. Are you affiliated with these commercial websites?
Here are some suggestions: Wikipedia Guidelines How not to be a spammer: "Contribute cited text, not bare links. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a link farm. If you have a source to contribute, first contribute some facts that you learned from that source, then cite the source. Don't simply direct readers to another site for the useful facts; add useful facts to the article, then cite the site where you found them. You're here to improve Wikipedia—not just to funnel readers off Wikipedia and onto some other site, right? (If not, see #1 above.)"
"Adding many links to (or mentions of) the same site or product. Going through an article and adding the name of your product to every paragraph where it seems relevant is just going to attract the revert button."
In other words, if you are really interested in improving wikipedia then please feel free to ask the owner's of the commercial websites that you are so interested in promoting to copy the content of the referenced page into wikipedia and reference it directly therein. Or, if they refuse to do so and you still find the commercial websites so compelling then please feel free to put their referenced webpage into your own words in wikipedia and then cite the commercial website as the source for your more meaningful contribution to wikipedia.
If you wish to add legitimate references to an article then please cite references that are properly attributed to the appropriate PRIMARY source, or authoritative original research work NOT some quaternary source on a commercial website. If you do not know the appropriate reference attributions then please refrain from editing any references. We suggest that if you really want to be a useful "contributer" that instead of violating Wikipedia's anti spamming rules you locate the Proper LITERATURE Citations to replace the Commercial Websites that you have repeatedly cited.
Until then please remove your commercial references and commercial external links or replace them with the Proper Citations.
Thank you for your prompt cooperation. Mannheim 34 (talk) 19:21, 16 March 2009 (UTC

The article Carlo Viberti has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
