Gerda's October corner

October songs

Today: DYK #1700, and I uploaded more images, mostly blue and green, for hope. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:02, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

Today, mostly black&white, and standing upright as Psalm 15 says --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:13, 10 October 2021 (UTC)

Today: see yourself, read about a hymn praying to not be on earth in vain, about a comics artist whose characters have character (another collaboration of the "perennial gang", broken by one of us banned), and in memory of the last prima donna assoluta, Edita Gruberová. I had to go to two grave sites last week, one who died now, one who died 10 years ago, so standing upright and in black seems appropriate. More colours - but subdued - can be had on hikes, - updated. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:31, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

  • Diff, for posterity...

I wouldn't try to understand what I was saying any more than you have to. Basically I was offering two approaches. If Adamant is the "threat" that a lot of commenters seem to suggest they are, which is an open possibility, then a simple ban from AfD discussions only "kicks the can down the road", so to speak. They will be back at AN/I for some other disruption that is relative to this issue, maybe hostile comments on article talk pages or something like that. But if they are acting in good faith, just misguided in how they deal with others during those discussions, then some specific sanctions are warranted. I just happen to believe they aren't the "threat" that a lot of others think they are and a full sanction will be more a detriment to a good faith editor that is misguided than a more refined and specific topic related ban would be. Maybe it's my "ever the optimist" approach or maybe it's something more, idk. But my comment was never meant to take blame off Adamant or to suggest anyone with a different opinion isn't justified to take that approach. Thank you for accepting my apology. --ARoseWolf 14:27, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

What I didn't understand was why you needed to post such a long and (I'm sorry...) basically incoherent ramble in response to my simple reply. Everyone already knows you're lovely and caring, Rose, it's your entire persona. I was just a bit unclear on why you needed to emphasise it right there, right then. Doesn't matter in the end. No real harm done, and thanks for taking the time to post about it again here. Begoon 14:35, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
No, thank you for allowing me to post here to clarify and for the kind words. No need to say sorry, my words weren't for you so I can see where they might be seen as "incoherent" or a "ramble". I'll take that into consideration in the future. --ARoseWolf 14:41, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
I hope, in that case, that whoever your words were for was able to understand and appreciate them. You're always welcome here if you have something to say. Stay lovely. Begoon 14:49, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

Hope you are well

I hope you are well.

Not sure if you recall, but you participated in a previous appeal to my topic ban. To my disappointment, you did not support my appeal. I currently am appealing again at the administrators noticeboard. I hope that the concerns you expressed may be lessened or completely alleviated this time around. If not, I would appreciate you share what concerns you have with me so I can address them to you before you reach a verdict if you chose to. I look forward to conducting a dialogue with any inquiries you may have.

Logo of BEHS(9)Mandalay (St. Peter's High)

Hi Mr. @Begoon:. I think the following svg logos you created need some modifications.

These badges are wrong in design and colour.

  • In both badges, the left half of background is green  (instead of black).
  • In both badges, the small strikes in the four corners are black (instead of blue).
  • In both badges, the shield is yellow  (instead of orange in St. Peter's)
  • In the badge of BEHS(9) Mandalay, the design behind "၉" is an atom with electrons and transparent blanks (instead of nontransparent white flower).
  • In the badge of BEHS(9) Mandalay, the second star from the left is green  (instead of black).

Fyi: The four stars in the badge of BEHS (9) Mandalay symbolize the four houses of School Council.

There is also banner form of that badge(s).
