Speedy deletion nomination of Charlie Horlock

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Charlie Horlock requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:15, 20 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

When you make links in an article, as you did in your edits to Wycombe Wanderers F.C., please always check that the link goes somewhere sensible. You linked to two "disambiguation pages" at Nathan Evans (obviously neither of these is our man - but I've just added our footballer as a red link) and Peter Murphy (three footballers there, but Peter Murphy (footballer, born 1990) is identified as a Wycombe Wanderers player and has a plausible birthdate so is likely to be the right man). I've now amended the two links, so that Nathan Evans (footballer) is a red link (an article not yet written), and Peter Murphy is a blue link going to the person we want.

I see you created an article about Charlie Horlock which has been deleted: I can't see the text, but the "Notability" threshold for a sportsperson is that they must have played a game at the professional level (see WP:NFOOTY for details) and it looks from this link as if perhaps he hasn't yet played a match. If he has claims to "notability", then re-create the article but be sure to state, and source, those claims. Happy Editing! PamD 19:54, 20 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Charlie Horlock requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Proposed deletion of Charlie Horlock

edit

The article Charlie Horlock has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.   Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, James O'Connor (footballer born 1984), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Rudheath shuttles

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rudheath shuttles, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Everton F.C., you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:41, 23 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Mattythewhite (talk) 22:19, 24 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
