The article Virtual villagers has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a subject but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although we invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to S.A.C. Old Boys, was not constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - I couldn't care less if he is your maths teacher; unless you can establish notability (through a reliable source) then he does not belong in Wikipedia. If you wish your edits to be taken seriously, then perhaps you should avoid adding joke edits. -- Mattinbgn\ talk 11:53, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Firstly, any fact in Wikipedia without a reliable source can be deleted on sight. This is one of the core policies of Wikipedia. Feel free to go through the list and delete any that you see without one. Secondly, in terms of joke edits perhaps this one is a good example. Thirdly, it would help if you were to sign your entries on talk pages (such as mine) by adding four tildes like this ~~~~ so others know who the message is from. If you want to contribute seriously to Wikipedia you will be welcome provided you follow Wikipedia policies and guidelines and refrain from vandalism and joke edits. -- Mattinbgn\ talk 12:07, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- My last word: Adding to an entry for a man who is notable for "Egg War 3" is not the sign of a serious Wikipedia editor, defending the edit does not help either. Wikipedia is not for things made up in school one day. Once again, if you want your edits to kept, make them good ones, supported by reliable sources and written from a neutral point of view. Happy editing. Cheers, Mattinbgn\ talk 12:24, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
