Thanks for uploading File:Nizhal 2021 Film.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Kurup (film) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Kurup (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 17:04, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

why so.... I have added enough citations for the page..... u can tell me what to do before moving into draft space Blackstonefire (talk) 17:10, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You didn't add citations, you added links to web sites that don't say anything about the film. ... discospinster talk 18:59, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Kurup Malayalm film.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Kurup Malayalm film.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 06:26, 1 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:John Kaipallil.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:John Kaipallil.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. Speedy deletion nomination of File:John Kaipallil.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:John Kaipallil.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7075394/mediaviewer/rm1099499520/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Nizhal (2021 film)

edit

The article Nizhal (2021 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage to pass WP:GNG, and doesn't appear to meet WP:NFILM currently. Would redirect to the director, but they do not have a page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Starring

edit

I've reverted the bulk of your recent edits, as many of them have been supported with the fabricated explanation, "Starring is credited only to lead roles and title roles". While "Starring" is considered a special credit, at first glance it would seem you've taken this to the extreme, and maybe gone overboard with who could possibly be the credited "stars" of films. For instance, about Thoppil Joppan, which is apparently a romantic comedy, how could only one person be the star of the film? Also, there are 8 other people on the poster. Since Indian films are notoriously bad at adhering to western crediting norms, your edits in particular just look like one person making decisions about who the important cast members are, as opposed to using community standards to decide these facts, so it would be great if you could please use reliable sources the next time(s) you make such changes, as we're not interested in your personal evaluations of a character or cast member's worth or prominence. THank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:25, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Even I see indian films and I'm an indian.... so I can understand the roles of the characters in the movie.... and it's not based on poster starring is declared Blackstonefire (talk) 04:41, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia for the Actor Walid Riachy in Kurup (film)

edit

Hello, i was reading kurup (film) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurup_(film)

& i saw your last edits, im a director & honestly a big fan of Walid Riachy a main actor in the movie & when i was reading i noticed that his name isn’t highlighted in the cast section, wanted to go to his wikipedia but couldn’t find one, wanted to read more about him to get in touch with him for a movie.

Im just highlighting that because he is a notable actor on the big screen in Mollywood Cinema & Hollywood & would be nice having all info about him in Wikipedia & i thought maybe i should get in touch with someone who edited the article. Wish you a nice day Denisbock (talk) 03:34, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
