@BrownHairedGirl:

BrownhairGirl -- I'm sorry, if you get this I guess I used that ping function correctly (this time). Clearly I am not sure how this system works but I am glad to to see a kind offer of help. Yes I would really like help -- but obviously I need help in figuring out how to navigate and use the system.Bob1743 (talk) 16:53, 9 November 2018 (UTC)Bob1743 (talk) 17:59, 9 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop inappropriately moving pages

edit

Please refrain from moving pages yourself into mainspace or elsewhere. I have moved your other draft back twice, it is not appropriate for mainspace of an encyclopedia. Praxidicae (talk) 17:51, 10 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have no recollection of moving anything anywhere. I am trying to compose a piece in my sandbox -- which I believe is not visible by others -- I have made no conscious attempt to move, edit, or change anything on public spaces for a month or two. In order to avoid any future problems I will attempt to erase my account and cease all activity on Wikipedia.

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I reverted this edit on Annie W. S. Siebert. The cite provided states her father's profession as a physician, not a lawyer. If you have additional information about her father's profession, please add a citation alongside the addition to the article. Thank you, --Engineerchange (talk) 16:17, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Great work at least in being so quick about the reversion and so kind to message me about it.
I'm just starting to work on the genealogy of this family and Hylas Sabine attended Harvard law school from 1862 - 1864 when he received a LLB degree. Here's a link to the Harvard Law School alumni association that lists have as a 1864 graduate

Here's a good source https://familypedia.fandom.com/wiki/Union_County,_Ohio
He was the commissioner of the Ohio rail road and telegraphs. The 1880 and 1890 census list his occupation as real estate agent. There was a A. Sabine in Marysville who was a doctor but not yet certain of any relationship.
Can't give you more now -- but will send additional info as I get it.

@Bob1743: I apologize if my edit seemed rash. If the existing citation doesn't support an added detail, I feel a reversion can be justified. I've added this reference to clarify his profession and his relationship with Mrs. Siebert. Even though he has a LLB, I don't see a reference to a legal profession. However, since he was a state senator, I believe Hylas Sabine meets the notability criteria for his own article (hence my addition of a redlink). As an aside, ancestry.com and fandom wikis are not considered reliable sources (according to WP:ELPEREN). Good luck with your genealogy research! --Engineerchange (talk) 20:39, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
