You left IRC before I could answer your question, but yes, there is a lot to be done in order to improve the page so that it does not get deleted again. Our primary metric for notability on Wikipedia (i.e. "whether a page is kept or deleted") is WP:GNG, which is summarised here. Currently the article does not have significant coverage about Hodgson, which will be needed in order for it to be kept long-term.
Since you have a WP:COI with regards to the article, you should avoid editing it directly (see WP:PSCOI for a quick overview of the "best practices" for article subjects) and instead propose changes on the article's talk page. Use {{edit COI}} when you have made your suggestions. I will note that if you feel you can write neutrally without unnecessary flamboyance, you are welcome to update the page directly, but in my experience I have seen many an editor struggle to do so (and thus I would encourage you at the start to use edit requests).
If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. To reply directly to me, start your message with {{u|Primefac}}
