User talk:BrianE22/sandbox/Russian Futurism
Hi Brian,
After peer reviewing your article, these are the main points I'll go over:
Lead: I think the information you added to the lead was overall very strong. Perhaps the second, longer half of the lead could be made more concise or put in a different section though? It just makes the lead lengthy, though it does have very good information.
Content: I'm glad you edited out sections that didn't seem relevant. You added some good content and edited some grammatically mistakes to make the article better. Everything is well structured: it is clear and easy to read, with good sectioning that allows ideas to breathe and lends to an easier understanding of the subject. Maybe in the future you can add more pictures to your article to have more visual information? All your content was neutral and unbiased, and I see no need to change the tone of what you've added. All in all, the content you've put together is a really good start.
References: Knowing how much I struggled with references, I'm glad to see that you've found multiple sources online, and at least one in print. Not only did you add references to the information you added, but you added it to the information that was already there as well.

Amrprix (talk) 23:17, 20 October 2019 (UTC)AMRPRIX Lead: This has good information--but needs to make sure that it covers all the areas. Body: I would expand on the Cubo-Futurism movement and link to other Wikipedia pages if there are some. Overall--and this will help address some of the comments on the talk page for the base article--you need more on the visual arts. You especially need to make sure that it is clear when you are discussing visual art and how and why that is related to or different from the literary movement (see some of the discussion that predated you on the talk page). In order to do more with the visual arts, you should look at these 4 sources: Ioffe, Denis G., and Frederick H. White. 2012. The Russian avant-garde and radical modernism: an introductory reader. Brighton, MA: Academic Studies Press. Compton, Susan P. "Italian Futurism and Russia." Art Journal 41, no. 4 (1981): 343-348. Glisic, Iva. "Caffeinated Avant‐Garde: Futurism During the Russian Civil War 1917–1921." Australian Journal of Politics & History 58, no. 3 (2012): 353-366. DADSWELL, SARAH. "Re-approaching Russian Futurism: The Inter-Revolutionary Years, 1908-1915." Studies in slavic cultures IV. Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures and Center for Russian and East European Studies. Pittsburgh: University of Pittsburgh. Retrieved from http://www2. pitt. edu/~ slavic/sisc/SISC4/docs/dadswell. pdf (2003). While his contribution to the arts were lesser than his peers, he was the first to discover many of the movement’s talents. Burlyuk was the first to publish Velimir Khlebnikov and see the talents of Vladimir Mayakovsky--Do you mean Visual Arts? thanks! Dr. Price
