Speedy deletion nomination of Bagel Shop Ride
editA tag has been placed on Bagel Shop Ride requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. noq (talk) 17:57, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
The article Splitrock, Austin Teaxs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unreferenced. Being the oldest house in the neighborhood isn't in itself enough to establish notability even with a reference. References would clear up the issue.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. OlYellerTalktome 17:59, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bryker Woods requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 20:41, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Brykerwoods (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Not sure why I am being blocked. I am the Bryker Woods Neighborhood website author and former newsletter editor. I am the owner of ALL the content I have posted to Wikipedia. I live in the neighborhood and I have done extensive research on the areas history. I am making these Wikipedia entries to help neighbors learn more about the rich history of thier neighborhood. I am making absolutely *NO* profit from this activity. Please let me know what I can do to regain good standing with the Wikipedia community Brykerwoods (talk) 20:59, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You weren't blocked merely for the perceived copyright violations (which are now understood to probably not be copyright violations), but also because your edits constitute a conflict of interest in a manner that seems promotional. Whether or not you profit from this activity in a financial sense is irrelevant, that is only one way in which a conflict of interest can manifest. I suggest that you take the time to look at our linked guidelines before you continue to add information. Note that although I'm declining your unblock, the block itself is only a 24 hour duration and you are free to edit again when it expires, but again I urge you to familiarize yourself with our guidelines first. -- Atama頭 00:13, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Reply about Bailey Park and Bryker Woods
editDone, now at:
I would strongly suggest you contact WP:OTRS to give permission for material for which you have copyright over. Thank you, -- Cirt (talk) 00:08, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Please, also, remember that articles in Wikipedia must maintain a neutral point of view. You cannot create an article which is an advertisement for a neighborhood, an attack on perceived "foes" of that neighborhood, etc.; indeed, your username itself might be considered evidence of a conflict of interest when writing about that neighborhood. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:53, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
The intention is not to “advertise” for the neighborhood, rather create/start a Wikipedia entry for the neighborhood and let others contribute. Brykerwoods (talk) 17:12, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
Reply about copyright post on websites
editPlease note that although I am the author, the material is not copyrighted and the content is to be considered that of the public domain. I want to make absolutely certain my Wikipedia article submissions comply with copyright standards/requirements. - this part implies a different license, "public domain", than the other 2 you specified. Best to just place emphasis on those other two license you already stated. -- Cirt (talk) 19:19, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I have contacted Moonriddengirl (talk · contribs) and I believe that I have taken adequate steps to eliminate the copyright problems associated with my Wikipedia entries. If so, how can the articles be made active again? I also posted to your talk page should you not be following this entry. Thanks again for helping me with this important issue. Brykerwoods (talk) 20:22, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- If you have already contacted Moonriddengirl (talk · contribs) I will defer to her judgement about further action with this. -- Cirt (talk) 05:07, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
