May 26 Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in Tucson

edit

Hey there, I'm a Wikipedian from the Boston area, and I saw that you added a potential Wiknic event for Tucson next month. I wanted to touch base b/c I'm organizing a Wikipedia edit-a-thon in conjunction with Spacefest on May 26th, and I'd love to reach out to local Tucson Wikipedians to invite them to participate. I will be putting up a geonotice (which will go out to editors based on their location), but I was also hoping to get in touch with a few Arizonans before then. It's gonna be a fun event: We will be editing articles related to women in astronomy and space sciences in honor of the late Sally Ride, whose birthday is that day. There's more info on the event page I just set up. Anyway, please let me know if you might like to take part, or if you know of other Wiki folks in the Tucson area who might be interested! Cheers. User Picture Caption Suggestion

edit

You should change the caption so that the names of the people in the picture appear in the order they do in the picture, from left to right.

Megacephalic?

Ha! You big head! -- Hillbillyholiday talk 22:55, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I just noticed your signature at the visual editor request for comment. It's required that we link from our signatures to our user, talk or contributions pages (I do all three!) so others can contact us easily. I think that page explains how to do that. If you need help, let me know or ask at the help desk.

The username Megacephalic hasn't yet been taken, so if you want to change permanently to that, have a word with the bureaucrats at Wikipedia:Changing username, and they can arrange it so you keep all your history, watchlist, settings, etc. and only the name changes. --Anthonyhcole (talk · contribs · email) 01:08, 1 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:16, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
