Regarding deletion of Delwara - Mewar
There are three places named as Delwara in India. One is Delvada, also known as Delwada, is a village in Una Taluka, Gir Somnath district, Gujarat, India. Second one is Dilwara Temples or Delvada Temples near the Mount Abu in Rajasthan, India. The third one is Delwara, seat of ancient civilisation, near Udaipur, which was in former state of Mewar. Hence the word Mewar was added for clarity to anyone who is searching for Delwara in Mewar. You are requested to restore the deleted page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pratap Singh Mehta (talk • contribs) 04:29, 2020 April 18 (UTC)
Dear Admin,
After creation of the article Delwara. I received comments from people that there are three places in India with name Delwara. 1. Delwara Mount Abu is in Rajasthan. 2. Delwara is in the Gujarat District. 3. Delwara in Rajsamand District of Rajasthan, India.
The third one on which the article is created. Why the word Mewar is added with Delwara? This article is based on history before medieval period of Delwara. At that time there was a state Mewar. The people can refine their search with the name Delwara - Mewar.
Hence If you can re-change the title as Delwara - Mewar. We can better serve people or please specify how to change the name of title.
Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suryaindia009 (talk • contribs) 07:57, 2020 April 18 (UTC)
- Pratap Singh Mehta and Suryaindia009. On Wikipedia we use the simplest name possible that does not conflict with another. If there is a conflict over names we use a WP:Disambiguation. So there is Baker Lake, Nunavut, which is a small town, and Baker Lake (Nunavut), the lake next to the town. One thing that isn't done is use a "-" so by Wikipedia standards Delwara - Mewar is incorrect as it would appear to be the full name a place. If a disambiguation was required it would be Delwara, Rajasthan, the name of the modern day state it is in. However, there is no need for a disambiguation in this case as there is Delwara, Delvada and Dilwara Temples. Three places with different names. If there is a possibility of confusion between them the the {{Distinguish}} can be used and I will add it to the three pages now. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 13:50, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
Sir, Thank you very much for sending reply soon.
Can you change name as Delwara (Mewar). As this article is based on history before medieval period of Delwara. At that time there was a state Mewar.
Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suryaindia009 (talk • contribs) 14:20, 2020 April 18 (UTC)
- As I explained above there is no need. There is only one Delwara on Wikipedia and putting in disambiguation makes it harder for the reader. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 15:31, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi there! We are having trouble with a WP:COI editor, User:Editorinchief1999, on this page. His record makes it pretty clear that he is there to promote one candidate over another and probably works for that campaign office. He has been warned repeatedly on his talk page, but is plowing ahead regardless. It is taking a lot of time to sift out the few useful things he adds from the false and misleading claims and WP:PEACOCK text he is adding. Can you please take a look and take whatever action you deem appropriate? Thanks. - Ahunt (talk) 16:59, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- I do not work for that campaign office and since you claim I do, please provide some proof. I have put in citations into the things I edit. regarding deletion of the page : - Dr. Anshumali Tiwari
Hello Sir, i had created a page named "Dr. Anshumali Tiwari" but was deleated. please help me in recovering that and also guide me how can i edit the content to keep it live. this was just an informative page about a highly renowned astrologer from india. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vishutiwari95 (talk • contribs) 18:49, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Vishutiwari95 There does not seem to be anything notable about him. Plus you had no references. Biographies of living people need references. You could create a draft page at Draft:Anshumali Tiwari but it will need references before it can be a live article. References do not include his Facebook page. Also Wikipedia does not title articles Dr. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 18:59, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Z templates
Hi, you protected almost all the Z templates in 2017 with full protection. I don't see a reason why these shouldn't be lowered to template protection. Do you oppose this lowering? Anarchyte (talk • work) 08:09, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Anarchyte. There must have been a request at the time on WP:RFPP. If you give me the list I'll change them. I support lowering them. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 14:48, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

- Just lowered the protection of all of them. QEDK informed me of Twinkle batch protection. It's a lot simpler than AWB. Anarchyte (talk • work) 15:35, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Anarchyte Sorry got called away. Were/are you able to make admin edits with your bot profile? I never could and couldn't find the Twinkle thing. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 20:29, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, if you go to Special:BotPasswords you can make a new account that you can use with AWB. See WP:Using AWB with 2FA. The Twinkle batch protection is only present on category pages, I believe. Anarchyte (talk • work) 05:25, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Anarchyte: (top-secret) It works in User, Wikipedia and Category namespaces. The Wikipedia one is particularly handy because you can use it at WP:RFPP. As a special-case, you can also use it at Special:PrefixIndex. --qedk (t 愛 c) 11:40, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Kingseat page move / disambiguation
Hi, I'm fairly new to editing Wikipedia so I'm happy for any advice on how best to move this page.
There are 3 Kingseats that I am aware of:
- Kingseat, Fife
- Kingseat, Auckland
- Kingseat, Aberdeenshire, although this page is in draft the Kingseat Hospital, Aberdeenshire page exists. The old hospital buildings now form the center of the new village.
I was just trying to tidy up a bit. The Auckland one is named after the Kingseat Hospital (New Zealand) which was built there, itself named after Kingseat Hospital, Aberdeenshire, which is named after the village. And the village is named because a king once sat on a stone there... so the story goes but the name does exist on early maps on scotaldn by Robert Gordon (as detailed on the draft Kingseat page).
The Fife one seems to be named after a different king sat on a different stone. I suppose Kings like sitting on stones?
Just looking for advice on how best to fix this. Should I wait for the draft Kingseat Aberdeenshire page to get approved first?
Thanks Gav barnett (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 11:40, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
- Gav barnett. Once the one in Aberdeenshire is approved move it to Kingseat, Aberdeenshire. Move the current Kingseat to Kingseat, Fife and turn Kingseat into a disabiguation page. That's interesting as Kingseat, Fife should not be a red link.
- Don't try move the hospitals as they have some strange way of naming them.
- Of course kings like sitting on stones otherwise the English wouldn't have stolen it.
- By the way I looked at your draft. If I was you I would WP:be bold and move it now. It's been a long time since saw a draft article that well done. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 11:57, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
Thanks much appreciated! I've now moved the draft page (as you've seen) and will follow up with renaming and disabiguation.
I think I might spend some time updating/tidying some other Aberdeenshire settlements too.
Got to keep an eye on those English! Gav barnett (talk) 12:03, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

- I think what you missed was my point... sure, there is a second station at Anchorage that has 20/2 for Jan high and low and I guess I internalized that one from reading oldoldoldold climate data but thats not what Im getting at ... I meant that someone, even someone who doesnt normally fiddle around with climate tables, should have noticed that the climate data for Denali was way off in the five and a half years that it stood there. I dont expect you to have a solution because there isnt one .... but Ive been coming to you to talk abotu weather off and on since 2007 so I just wanted someone to vent to. I just got done with a large climate table project but Im feeling suddenly a lot less motivated, so I might take a break for awhile or at least slow down. Even on my breaks I still read Wikipedia every day, and usually make a few edits, but I think Im going to stop from taking on any big projects for a while. Frobisher Edit
Hello!
Thanks for your welcome message on my talk page! I've seen that you've reverted my edit on the Martin Frobisher page, and added a reference to back it up. If you allow, I'd like to discuss that. I've seen numerous pages on the Internet that mention this first sea-voyage of 1544 in their short biographies of Frobisher, not unlike the one you've added as a reference. I do have the suspicion, though, that these pages (and the one you've added) took their information largely from Wikipedia in the first place, simply because they are all very similar in their wording and don't provide any source to back up that claim.
Like I've mentioned in my edit notice, the biography by Taliesin Trow does not mention Frobisher's first voyage to sea as being in 1544. He was only around nine years old then and still lived with his mother in a landlocked area. There'd be no reason at all for him to go to sea at that age. Only after his mother's death (when he was around fourteen) did he move to live with his uncle, who was the merchant who facilitated his subsequent (or first) voyages to sea. I'd be happy if you could take all that into account and revert the reversion of the edit.

Eureka
I dont mean to stir up a dispute over an old edit, but I'd feel bad if I didnt point out this edit you made back in November, restoring climate data that we all knew was false. I've been criticizing other users for adding clearly off-the-charts data from "reliable" sources, as I did here, but I dont think it should matter who is signing the edit. I just posted an identical message on Beeblebrox's talk page as well. This is no way dampens my positive impression of you for all the times you've helped me in the past. And I think Im just going to take a break for a while. Thanks, —Soap— 19:05, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi, signature issue
Hi, CambridgeBayWeather,
I think that your signature kind of looks like three users making an edit together. Maybe you could change it so that it wouldn't seem like that? I'm just suggesting. No offence. However, it would be better to the Wikipedia community if you changed your signature a bit. Thanks. Also, sorry for bothering and potentially annoying you. Friend505 11:43, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Friend505, considering your sig is in clear breach of WP:SIGLEN I really don't think you should be offering anyone advice on their signatures. Let alone administrators with years of experience. Be mindful of the WP:BOOMERANG. Glen (talk) 12:03, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Glen: OK, good idea, I seem like I spend too much time on talk pages. But, I hope you noticed that I made a few edits on some pages recently. Thanks, and I will delete this section after you see my reply. Friend505 12:07, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Glen: Hi, Glen, I give you the right to delete this section. If you do not do so by tomorrow, I will do it myself. Thank you. Friend505 12:17, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Friend505 I'm not offended but I will be if you remove this section. My signature links my user page, talk page and contributions. Uqaqtuq is the Inuinnaqtun for "speaks" or "talk" and links to this page with talk in brackets to make it clear. Sunasuttuq is a word meaning "what is he doing". It would seem I got that from an Inuktitut dictionary that is no longer available. So I will change that to Huliva which is "what is he/she/it doing". Both are found in the Inuinnaqtun to English dictionary. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:34, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- @CambridgeBayWeather: What do you mean by "I will be if you remove this section."? If I were you, I would be extremely happy to have this section removed. Thank you. Friend505 12:38, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Friend505 Because there is nothing wrong with the section. It's not offensive, contains no personal attacks and doesn't reflect badly on anybody. It will eventually get archived. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:46, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Killinik High School
Greetings! It's been a bit since we've been in touch. My daughter and I still have the occasional chuckle over Ragged Ass Road (street). Anyway, I happened across the mention of Killinik High School in the Cambridge Bay article. I was wondering if you'd be interested in creating an article about the school? I found a few mentions here and there, but you are likely better equipped to find appropriate sources for such an article. Thoughts? --Hammersoft (talk) 20:25, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hammersoft. Good to hear from you. I really should get around to writing the school article. I seem to have several pictures to illustrate it. I'll just need to find the information. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 11:56, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Page move
Hey, I noticed you recently moved Concubinage in Islam to Sexual slavery in Islam. I have two questions:
1. Do you disagree that "Concubinage in Islam" was the last stable title of the page? It was stable from May 21 and June 28. At the time "Sexual slavery in Islam" was moved, there were 3 users who favored the move and only one who opposed it. The rest of those who opposed the move did not come until more than a month later after the article was already stable at "Concubinage in Islam".
2. You said the title will be reverted so "a proper discussion can be had". A discussion has taken place for a very long time. I have dug through 30 books to prove that "Concubinage" is the WP:COMMONNAME (see this and this). Those who oppose it seem to be appealing to Wikipedia:Status quo stonewalling.
Thanks,VR talk 21:38, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I really can't see that there was any long time stable page name so the original title prevails. I'm not going to make a decision on who has better sources or consensus. Whoever close the proper move discussion will do that. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 22:20, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- What is considered "long time" when it comes to page names? VR talk 22:28, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I would say more than a month. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 22:30, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- How much longer than a month, approximately? I'm not trying to be difficult but just to get a better idea for the future. This was a stable title for 1 month and 7 days, but you likely think that wasn't long enough. About 6 months? A year? VR talk 22:34, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I would think three or four months. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 22:37, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

The article Gardner Airport (Missouri) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Per WP:NAIRPORT, private airports are generally not notable. I'm not really finding anything providing significant coverage for this minor private airfield, as everything that looks like hits turns out to be for Gardner Municipal Airport (Kansas).

Subject was written about in several articles, there were over 20 sources on this new wiki page and it was put up for speedy deletion due to a previous wiki article being deleted that was different than this one and had way fewer sources/references. It seems that a bot put it up for speedy deletion and you deleted without reading wiki page. I have requested for undeletion (it is number 88 on Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion page)

The article Gardner Airport (Indiana) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Most private airports are not notable per WP:NAIRPORT. I have been unable to turn up coverage outside of routine database entries, so it looks like its fails WP:GNG as well.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hog Farm Bacon 04:15, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
The article Gardner Airport (Montana) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Like most private airports, this small one fails WP:NAIRPORT. Also fails WP:GNG, as the only coverage is in routine entries in databases and directories.

The article Gardner Airport (Florida) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable private airport, per WP:NAIRPORT. Fails WP:GNG, as potential sourcing that comes up is for airports in other states, is routine database listings, or is published by the owner of the airport.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Canadian Articles - Fahrenheit
I'm sorry about that. Even though I'm half-Canadian, I like using the Imperial system, though I'm trying to branch out and use the Metric system more. I didn't really even think before I added those tables. I'll use the Metric system in the future. About sourcing, I provided links to the ECCC page for normals & extremes for the locations in both the NWT and Nunavut. I don't see how I can source that any better. Please let me know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Old Hoar's Frost (talk • contribs) 00:19, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Attention To Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Supercomputing_in_India : A User identified as Master Of Ninja has collapsed the original contents of the page and the information has been reduced to almost nil on the Indian efforts pertaining to 'Supercomputer Development In India'. He/She has removed so many relevant and vital information just arbitrarily by so many organized attempts with lame explanations and when I tried to identify the malicious removal of the content and tried again to revert them back, I was unnecessarily blamed to have 'conflict of interest' without noticing the very purpose of restoring the original contents of the articles and references. The Administrators can note this truth by going through the View history / Contributions - REF 2 & 3 of editing. I expect the Administrators to revert back to the Original Contents of the Page as identified in REF : 5 and I make my earnest request in this regard. Alternatively, If my block is removed, I shall do it once again.
I claim to have more authority to manage the content as the First Architect of Indian Supercomputer - CHIPPS : C-DOT High Performance Parallel Processing System which formed the very foundation and the core base of Indian Supercomputer Architecture for the further development of PARAM Models at C-DAC which was promoted later by Government of India after C-DOT transferred the technology and when Dr. Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar was made in-charge to take over.
I hope Wikipedia, in accordance with its policy to maintain the integrity and authenticity of information contained in its pages, will find out the truth in order to take corrective actions at the earliest and advise and block the User:Master Of Ninja (who has collapsed the entire contents of the page very systematically with malicious intentions) by checking the editing history - View history - REF 2 - in order not to do the same acts once again.
I shall be better obliged if my block is removed.
Thanks & Regards,
Mohan Rose Ali (talk) 01:18, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Mohan Rose Ali You are just repeating what you have said before. Master Of Ninja is not going to be blocked as they haven't done anything wrong. You added this rant to Talk:Supercomputing in India but as yet you have not discussed what changes you want to see. You claim that you are the "First Architect of Indian Supercomputer" but there is no way of proving that and even if you are, it gives you no authority to WP:OWN the page. Due to your lack of discussion, attacks on Master Of Ninja and attempts to take over the page your block from editing Supercomputing in India will not be removed.
