Comic images
editPlease refrain from adding the link "http://abcovers.free.fr" to every caption you write on an article page. It is okay to put it in the image's details but not on the article page. Please refrain from advertising the site. Wikipedia is not for advertising and everyone has to revert your edits. --Eeee 20:37, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
Eeee, I'm not sure who you are. Maybe you're right for the caption of the thumbs, but I'm sorry, a link to the site in "externals links" is available, I think it's OK if there's a link to a DANGER GIRL gallery il the danger Girl Wiki page... I don't understand why you erase it.
- So I see you've deleted all the comments by people telling you not to advertise in your images, or on this site in general, and you continue to do so. Tomorrow I'm reporting you to WikiProject Comics. I'm not getting any deeper into a stupid revert war that could have negative consequences for the both of us. - Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. - rst20xx & Exvicious, I don't understand why - for example in the Gen13 page - I can't put a link to the cover gallery when there's another one (non fonctionnal) in the externals links. Don't you think it's appropriate to have a link to a cover gallery of Jim Lee in the Jim Lee page??? And why having the msn group and not any other one? They are complementing. All this seems ridiculous and I really don't understand, there's so many other links that are real spams. (And for the content, I'm sorry but I have added some and I even created myself some pages). But, it's OK, I will try to discuss this.Kaperni | Talk
- The galleries you are linking are commercial websites that sell the art, where as the Gen 13 gallery is a documentation of the the covers. Exvicious 22:19, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Where have you see this is a commercial gallerie?? The covers are completely free access!! This is ridiculous, i'm not selling anything!!! And considering the gallery gen 13, the images are small and of bad quality: totally useless in my opinion. Kaperni | Talk 18:59, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- So Exvicious got it wrong, nothing is on sale, but he is right in that you are using Wikipedia as a means of promoting your own website, which is wrong. rst20xx 17:29, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Eagle
editHi, Caperni. I noticed that on the Adam Hughes article you had linked Eagle comics #9-12. It was going to a British series, not the one in the late 1980's from Crystal Comics and Neil Vokes. There is currently no Wikipedia page for Eagle, so I simply removed the link. Bburgdaddy0 19:00, 5 May 2006 (UTC) No problem, it's not me who linked this article.Kaperni | Talk 09:55, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Darkness25_2.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Darkness25_2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rlest 09:00, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Jimlee infinitecrisis6.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Jimlee infinitecrisis6.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:59, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Image:DF_-_Fathom_12_13_14_Turner.jpg
editI have tagged Image:DF_-_Fathom_12_13_14_Turner.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 09:17, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Superman-Fortomorrow.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Superman-Fortomorrow.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Wildcats32.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Wildcats32.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 07:03, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
The article Skye Runner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Notability not clear.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. J Milburn (talk) 21:59, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:JimLee skyerunner1.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:JimLee skyerunner1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Silvestri-deadlygenesis01.jpg.
