Merging

Let's do that. No one is going to oppose that, so we can just go ahead and do it.

Did you mean the merging of the Primanti's article, or of the Hill district regions (because I also recommended merging those)? I think merging the Homewood sections would also be a good idea. This would the list of neighborhoods just as detailed, but the links would redirect to the broader neighborhood (i.e. Homewood, the Hill, Oakland [which is already done], etc.). I've taken the tag off and put an Encyclopaedia Metallum external verification link on it. Needs to assert notabilty - preferably with the discography before someone else tags it again!! Bubba hotep 21:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

History of Pittsburgh - request for collaboration

I've put a lot of additional work into this article, based on feedback from when it was a Featured Article Candidate. Also updated the maps to give them a more standard appearance. I'm going to submit the article for peer review and then FAC again. Before I do, though, I need some help from the WikiProject Pittsburgh. Please take some time and help with these tasks:

1. improve the article with changes, additions and deletions
2. some stern proof-reading, please
3. give it a quality/importance rating at Talk:History of Pittsburgh
4. leave feedback at Talk:History of Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary

Hi! Since you're a member of WikiProject Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh is rolling out some new features (see our discussion at WT:PITTSBURGH). We are also trying to determine how many members are active. If you could go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh/Members and move your name from inactive to the active or semi-active group (depending on your interest in Pittsburgh issue and overall activity) groups, this would be great.
