Zamboanga Peninsula
editA geographical region located in northwestern Mindanao, the Philippines. Consist of the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay of Zamboanga Peninsula Administrative Region (Region IX) and the province of Misamis Occidental in Northern Mindanao (Region X). The land of almost 4 million people belonging to the indigenous tribes of tri-people Mindanao, the Christian settlers, the Lumad groups and the Moro groups. the region is believed to be first inhabited by Subanens, which is considered as the largest lumad ethnic group in Mindanao.

The boundary between the peninsula and the mainland is artificially marked by the border between Zamboanga del Sur and Lanao del Norte. Consist of the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay of Zamboanga Peninsula Administrative Region (Region IX) and the province of Misamis Occidental in Northern Mindanao (Region X)[1]. The land of almost 4 million people belonging to the indigenous tribes of tri-people Mindanao, the Christian settlers, the Lumad groups and the Moro groups. the region is believed to be first inhabited by Subanon, which is considered as the largest lumad ethnic group in Mindanao.
