Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Relish (production company) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bfacebook\.com (links: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=28682903897&ref=ts).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Speedy deletion nomination of Dick Bush (porn director)

edit

A tag has been placed on Dick Bush (porn director) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 23:29, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Relish (production company)

edit

A tag has been placed on Relish (production company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Accounting4Taste:talk 01:27, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your note. I'll try to give you information about the policies that apply, and were applied to the articles you've asked me about. First, I should say that there is no prejudice against the porn industry here, although there is a specific policy that is referred to because of the inherent nature of that industry as opposed to non-porn films (WP:PORNBIO). Production companies, though, are treated the same as any other company; they have to meet the requirements of WP:CORP. In this case, there were no reliable sources indicating that the company was in any way notable. What I would be looking for is either significant coverage in a number of different media, or evidence that the company had been given awards like the AVN for its work, or evidence that it had created a brand-new sub-category of porn films; none of these were evident or even suggested. The director in question needed to have met the requirements of WP:BIO, and these are similar; significant coverage in a number of different media, evidence of industry-based awards, or evidence that he had created a brand-new sub-category. A reading of WP:PORNBIO suggests that sheer volume of productions is not a useful way of determining notability in this industry. (WP:PORNBIO is not specifically applicable to either of the topics, but it's a useful guideline to the types of things that determine specific notability in the industry.) You may note that I examined and left the entry for the gentleman who has an entry in Debretts; there was evidence that his life had received significant coverage in mainstream media. If you feel there is a chance that either topic could have a sufficient number of citations in order to meet our guidelines, leave me a note and I will place the deleted content into a "sandbox" page for you to work on -- but you should be aware that I'm not likely to be the individual who makes the final decision, so you should be very sure that the article meets our guidelines before re-posting it. I hope this information is useful to you; if you have any further questions or problems, feel free to leave me another note. Accounting4Taste:talk 16:08, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
