Speedy deletion nomination of Material overindulgence

A tag has been placed on Material overindulgence requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Removing Speedy at Material overindulgence

• Cbliege, the article was indeed deleted as a copyvio (not G4; the above nomination was incorrect), and it is about to be deleted again. There is no evidence to suggest that you have clearance, and from which authors? You cite a bunch of them, though you cite them incorrectly: material from this book is attributed to this source--but it cites the unattributed book verbatim ("when we refer to a child as spoiled"). That cannot be. I am going to salt the article to prevent recreation without more oversight: an article can be written with permission, so to speak, which you might could gain through Wikipedia:Articles for creation, or through a friendly admin (not me: this is not my field or interest). Please do not commit any more copyright violations. If you do not understand how you fell foul of those guidelines, study them; more violations might result in a warning and/or a block--we cannot have copyvios in our project. • I see now that according to the talk page you sent a request to OTRS, which I don't have access to--but that still doesn't jive with the attribution in the article. If the copyright clearance is for the book source (rather than for the article), it can be restored, but it will need proper attribution. I saw that Gaijin responded on the talk page and mentioned "public release" etc; I do not believe this to be accurate, and their comments on notability didn't make much sense to me: lack of notability is NOT the reason your article got deleted. What I suggest you do, if you want to give it another shot, is to try it in a sandbox (WP:SANDBOX), making sure it meets our guidelines and conventions, with the proper citations etc, and with a clear understanding of what constitutes plagiarism (for instance, quotation marks need to be used properly). Then, ask an expert, such as User:Moonriddengirl, to see if it's OK; she knows copyright and is an administrator. Good luck, again, Drmies (talk) 17:34, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
