Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wat Saket, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ayutthaya (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Phum Viphurit moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Phum Viphurit, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Thai baht into Banknotes of the Thai baht. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:08, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Transaltion of ปาง as attitude

edit

Hi. Is there a particular source you followed in translating ปาง as attitude? Most sources appear to use gesture or posture, if not the Indian term mudra. --Paul_012 (talk) 04:49, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

There're usually informed in how-to-translate-ปาง articles saying that ปาง is translated as attitude. Both attitude and posture could be used. Posture seems to be commonly used, too. I'm not an expert either :( So, should you be sure that the term posture enunciates better, feel free to alter it. However, I use the term attitude since it seems to be commnly-used amongst the Thai-based blogs and articles. (Check out these link using attitude:

Personally, I prefer attitude to posture since its meaning; Attitude (n) a position of the body proper to or implying an action or mental state. Posture (n), nevertheless, (the position in which someone holds their body when standing or sitting) does not give me the sense of implying an action or mental state as ปาง intends to mean. Anyway, I'm not 100% sure either.... Chainwit. (talk) 07:33, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the explanation. Being use by those in the field would seem to support its use. I have another concern, however. The title for Naga Prok attitude reads really awkwardly to me, because it combines naga, which follows the Pali/Sanskrit spelling, with the Thai word prok. I think "Nak prok" would be better. Or it might actually be best to just use an English translation, if there is a common one, which would be more inline with the WP:USEENGLISH guideline. --Paul_012 (talk) 17:18, 16 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your kind suggestion! I'm still an amatuer in this field, so, I'll improve the article cited and the other upcoming ones as well. (Just that you told me, Naga prok seems to be really weird, I totally agree with this.) Chainwit. (talk) 17:23, 16 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Symbols of Thailand

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:Symbols of Thailand requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2014 June 5#Template:Symbols of Thailand. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Any interest?

edit

If you're at all interested, the Council for National Security article has some maintenance tags and might benefit from somebody with Thai language skills. It also seems to be much longer here on the English site than the corresponding article on th.wikipedia.org. If you know how to place a notice on the Thai article that it could be expanded with content from the English one that might be helpful too. No worries if it's not your thing. I just found my way here from your "Th-5" tag on your user page. --N8wilson 04:58, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
