Did Bob McCaslin Jr. Get sworn in early?

I'm going to change the State Senate to what I had originally because, A.) there are no more sessions of the old legislature left to be had, and B.) The Majority Coalition Caucus is establishing what the new body will look like next session, so it's better to be prepared then not. Also, I've spent countless hours this week on this page updating it, and can gaurentee you these results are accurate. I would love if you would let me keep these changes, because again these are the results, and the old legislature won't be meeting ever again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by UWHuskyFan (talkcontribs) 19:08, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Biography article creation

edit

Hi Champ68! I just wanted to touch bases with you on the articles which you are creating. While your contributions are welcome and appreciated, please make sure to provide wikilinks only to pages that are currently existing, rather than to redirected pages or disambiguation pages. While you have created several articles today, someone actually needs to clean up these articles to bring them into compliance with the encyclopedia's guidelines. You can check out some guidelines for creating and editing biographies at these links: WP:MOSBIO and WP:OPENPARA. Please make sure to review these guidelines before creating any further articles. Also, make sure to use the Americans article for identification in the lede sentence for individuals from the United States. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. How to post WSRC images on Wikipedia

edit

Hey, thanks for your improvements to the Washington's 1st Legislative District page! I noticed you posted some material from the Washington State Redistricting Commission (WSRC), but it seems like you improvised your uploading and are unfamiliar with file uploading procedure (which is fine! Improvisation is a great way to learn, and how I do most of my Wiki learning).

If you're interested, I have a tip for how to upload WSRC images more easily and reliably. (The same basic idea can be applied to various free use uploads.) Just go to the Wikipedia Commons upload wizard, (create an account if you don't have one), and follow the directions until you get to the "Now tell us why you are sure you have the right to publish this work" under the third step, "Release Rights." Click on "Another reason not mentioned above" and, for WSRC files, paste {{tl:PD-WSRC}} That's it! If you're uploading another file that you think is fair use, you can look up the appropriate template here. Following that method makes uploads MUCH easier, in my experience.

Hope that helps! Blessings, --Wikibojopayne (talk) 23:11, 16 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

But you don't automatically revert people's changes. Talk:Washington State Senate I've already started a discussion and you are free to participate. Discuss, then make changes. This is also helpful in this case. Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle Your automatic reverting is not particularly helpful even if you have discussed on my talk page. Paying $7 is not acceptable source by any wikipedia standards because it is still original research and not accepted. ViriiK (talk) 19:21, 24 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Another thing is that there is such a thing called the 3 Revert Rule which you've already exceeded (You are currently at 6 Reverts) and I'm not giving you a warning over that. ViriiK (talk) 19:24, 24 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Washington House of Representatives elections, 2010, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Derek Stanford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please do not automatically revert changes made by other editors. I removed un-sourced personal information from the page of a living person, pursuant to Wikipedia's BLP guidelines, and explained my reason for doing so in the "Edit Summary." You reverted the change without providing a reason, and it appears you continually do this on other pages as well. Please review Wikipedia's editing guides, as your edits are not constructive.

With respect to the Pete von Reichbauer page, I only removed material which did not cite a source. Regardless, we are to "exercise extreme caution in using primary sources" and "not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth" (See WP:BLPPRIMARY). If you feel BLP standards do not apply, or you have sources that document the material in question, please start a discussion on Talk:Pete_von_Reichbauer. Otherwise, please refrain from rolling back constructive edits that comply with Wikipedia standards.

Not premature at all when all major news outlets in the district are calling it for Hickel, and she's winning by something like 8 points, and there certainly won't be another special session between now and then. UWHuskyFan (talk) 14:37, 4 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Holepunch (Cloud service) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Holepunch (Cloud service), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 16:35, 25 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of UserLAnd Technologies

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on UserLAnd Technologies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.fossmint.com/userland-run-linux-distros-on-android/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. UserLAnd Technologies moved to draftspace

edit

I've moved the article UserLAnd Technologies to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. It's still under construction and there is a danger it would get deleted in it's current state. In draftspace you are free to flesh it out and then it can be moved back to articlespace. Best, Railfan23 (talk) 23:36, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Is there a way to alert an administrator as to those warning boxes at the top of the page so that they may take the necessary actions to resolve the matters and remove them? Thanks, Champ68 (talk) 19:12, 28 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
The copyvio-revdel template adds the article to Category:Requested RD1 redactions which administrators regularly look at. Beyond that, you could look in Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to handle RevisionDelete requests and approach one of the admins listed there on their talk page. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Holepunch (Cloud service), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:28, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Holepunch (Cloud service)

edit

Hello, Champ68. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Holepunch".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 01:12, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
