Speedy deletion nomination of Us-Paar
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Us-Paar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - The same applies to Trimurti (1974 film). You have copied these from IMDb. See Wikipedia:Copy-paste for why you must not copy material into Wikipedia; minor changes of wording are not enough to avoid a copyright violation. If you are interested in writing articles about films, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Film. I will add a Welcome paragraph below this, which will give you some other useful links. The article Vamsha Vriksham has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:NN film - no assertion of satisfying Wikipedia:Notability (films)
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Toddst1 (talk) 03:03, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
A note on style
editHi. Thanks for adding some cast lists, but be aware that according to WP:CASTLIST and WP:MOSBOLD, tables are not used for castlist and bold is rarely used in articles at all. Thanks. BollyJeff || talk 13:12, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- The policy says "Cast lists should not use table formats." Also, I know that tables automatically insert bolding, but I was referring to your adding of bolding to the crew list. BollyJeff || talk 14:03, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- From WP:SONG, single titles go in quotation marks "like this" and album titles are italicised like this. Please try to format stuff correctly. BollyJeff || talk 13:59, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Flag icons
editPlease do not insert flag icons into biographical articles as you did to Sujit Kumar. Flags should not be used to indicate locations of birth, residence, or death. See WP:FLAGBIO for further guidance. Thank you. - -Managerarc™ talk 17:59, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Sawaal (1982 film), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Sawaal (film). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:37, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Page-renaming
editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 19:39, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
However, please read WP:NAME. Adding years to the article titles is not necessary and against standards unless there really are multiple films with the same name. DMacks (talk) 20:10, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Discography tables
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Sanjeev Kumar filmography, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. In particular, the guide teaches us not to use ROWSPAN in discography tables. Instead, each entry gets an actual year, even if the same as previous line. DMacks (talk) 19:52, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dost (disambiguation), and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.dost.gov.ph.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:17, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Kabhi Kabhie name change
editWhy did you do this? The poster clearly says Kabhi Kabhie, without the extra 'e'? BollyJeff || talk 13:24, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Cut-and-paste move
editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Sujata (film) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Sujata (1959 film). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.
