The "tapeler" is a rare office supply indigenous to the Stone household of Niskayuna, New York. Valued for its usefulness and dependability, the "tapeler" is often mistaken for a mere stapler, but it is so much more, especially to Niskayuna resident Meghan Connors. They are currently dating and in fact are rumored to have set a date for a wedding, supposedly sometime in late spring. Various other rumblings have indicated that Ms. Connors may also in fact be carrying the progeny of the tapeler (shotgun wedding?), and God only knows what weird hybrid will result from this breeding.
Perhaps because the tapeler is generally good-natured, it is often taken advantage of. Myriad incidents of abuse and neglect have been cited; court dates are currently being set for offenders, as the tapeler is an endangered species and therefore protected by local law.
The tapeler is a wonderful creature, loved by the locals and guarded with respect and care. If you're lucky enough, someday you too may be subject to its blessed presence.
