I still cannot create my company page on Wikipedia. I created one but it was deleted by the editors for my company site copyright violation. Wikipedia answered my e-mail concerning the deletion and they said I must write GFDL note somewhere. But where? In the terms of use on my site? But many companies don't have GFDL notes but they are listed. where to put it "I agree to publish that work under the GFDL."?
What is the procedure? Thank you
- Hi there. The first obstacle you will have to overcome is whether your company is notable. Please click on that link to see how Wikipedia defines notability, it may be a bit counter-intuitive. Even if you are certain that your company qualifies, it would be considered a conflict of interest for you to write up your own article. A better procedure would be to ask for an appropriate page to be created. Finally, the GFDL license would be filed with the Wikimedia Foundation. However, I strongly encourage you to consider the notability issue first, as articles about non-notable companies will be speedily deleted just as the last page was. I hope that this helps.
