Request on 00:46:23, 9 January 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Krislbarg
Hello, thanks for taking the time to review the article on Dylan Walshe. I am currently trying to figure out what is the best way to reference the page? There is wide range coverage of Dylan on the internet & in printed press, I am just not sure the best way to link it up.
Dylan has done major tours. Dylan is signed Nashville artist. Dylan has toured with high profile musicians. Dylan has recorded with high profile musicians. Other artists release their own versions of Dylan's songs. & Dylan has sailed with the Flogging Molly cruise, billed with many high profile artists. Thanks again for your time

- Hi Krislbarg - there is a high standard of verifiability for WP:BLP. Many of the claims in the article have no sources that prove they are true. A few examples:
- While attending Muddy Roots Europe in 2013, Dylan took to the stage to replace a band (Mary Lee & The B Side Brothers) who had to cancel their performance.
- Following a near fatal accident in 2012, after years of performing domestically, he began to record, travel & tour internationally in 2013.
- Dylan's debut studio record, is scheduled to be released in 2018.
- If you resubmit, please source these - and other - claims about this person to mainstream newspapers, scholarly journals, books published by major publishing houses, etc. See WP:RS for more information. Also, please do not put external links in the body of the article. Chetsford (talk) 00:51, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi , thanks for reviewing Draft : Perla Helou ( current miss lebanon ) , please advise concerning your comment on BLP sources . Thank you Mimosheikh (talk) 08:44, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- Mimosheikh - you need them. Please see WP:RS for what constitute acceptable sources. Websites like globalbeauties.com are not reliable sources. Ideally, as references, you would be using newspapers, books published by major publishing houses, scholarly journals, etc. Chetsford (talk) 08:46, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- Chetsford - we have removed the info that is sourced from globalbeauties.com , anything else to fix in order to get this article published ? thanks alot for your help Mimosheikh (talk) 08:53, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- Mimosheikh - the following needs sources:
- Perla studied at the Saint Joseph University in Beirut, where she graduated in June 2016, in Business Administration. She is currently pursuing her Master in Management and Marketing degree in École supérieure des affaires (Beirut).
- Perla placed 7th in People's Choice , 4th in Multimedia and in the Top 40 overall among the 118 contestants . She also won the head to head challenge of her group. Perla was among the top 10 in many prediction leaderboards , such as Zardebelleza's leaderboard and others.
- Additionally, I question if indianandworldpageant.com is a reliable source. Reliable sources, generally, publish the names of their authors and their physical contact information. They will also be referenced by other media outlets which are, themselves, reliable. When I put indianandworldpageant.com into Google News I only see it being referenced by 3-4 other outlets, none of which - themselves - seem to be reliable. Angelopedia seems okay, however.

Hi,Chetsford
Thank you for reviewing my article.
I do not understand what the objection is. I have published two best selling books, both of which have been favorably reviewed both here and abroad. I received a one star from Kirkus as one of the best books of 2016. I have a nationally syndicated TV show. I am acknowledged as a leading lawyer and have been consistently listed among the Best Lawyers in the US.
It is unclear what more I can include. Please advise.
Have a nice day. (Jim Zirin (talk) 20:04, 9 January 2018 (UTC))
- Hi Jim Zirin - in response to your notes:
- I have published two best selling books Whose bestselling lists did they appear on? Can you provide a source?
- I received a one star from Kirkus as one of the best books of 2016. Per Wikipedia's policies about using literary awards to establish notability, only "major literary awards" help establish notability. A "major literary award" is something like the Man Booker Prize, the Nobel Prize for Literature, the Gladstone Prize, etc. I don't think a Kirkus Star qualifies as "major."
- I am acknowledged as a leading lawyer By whom? Can you provide a source?
- It is unclear what more I can include. Please advise. If you can provide sources to some of the profile stories written about the subject in major newspapers like the New York Times or New York Daily News or aired on network affiliate TV stations like WNBC-TV, or the biographies that have been published about the subject of the article from reputable publishing houses like Random House or Oxford University Press, or tributes/testaments published about the subject of the article in scholarly journals, or documentaries produced about the subject of the article by established film studios, etc., we should be set and can get this article approved. If none of this exists, the subject of the article may not warrant a Wikipedia article. Please refer to WP:GNG and WP:RS for additional information.
- Best regards,
- Chetsford (talk) 21:28, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
21:34:23, 9 January 2018 review of submission by Costwk
Hi,Chetsford
Thank you for reviewing my article.
The song, its songwriters, original singer and its popularity(long list of cover) in Japan and to some extent in Chinese speaking communities(Shuzhou in the song title is actual a Chinese place) are real. I don't falsify anything. I do privide 3 authentic third-party references( 2 in Japanese language and 1 imdb item) about the song and related movie. Of course this song was released in June of 1940 and in a wartime period, so it's hard or impossible to find newspaper, books and magazines at that time about this song. The wiki articles of this song in Japanese and Chinese languages actually don't provide any reference.
Have a nice day. Costwk (talk) 21:34, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Have a nice day, as well! Chetsford (talk) 21:36, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

George Flinn page declined
Hello. Thank you for your review the George Flinn page. It was declined because political activity does not warrant notability. The individual does have lots of news coverage in the media and in many other publications, that span over 20 years. Do you have any suggestions on how I can establish that? If I insert references will that establish notability? Thank you. Orual1963 (talk) 00:56, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Orual1963
- Hi Orual1963! References can establish notability and are encouraged. Please take a moment to review the criteria for politicians listed here: WP:NPOL. Good luck! Chetsford (talk) 00:59, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
Review of submission by Snathcb
Hello Chetsford,
Thank you for your time spent reviewing my maiden attempt to have more Asian companies on Wikipedia (!) It seems my contribution lacked notability as you have declined it for this reason.
I have benchmarked the piece on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReNew_Power, which is a company of about the same size and business space and has similar citations and references. Can you nudge me to see what I am missing that allows this 'benchmark' company on wikipedia and mine not?
I have read each and every one of the links the page provided on 'referencing, notability and sources'. If there are specific citations that you suggest I replace, I will (if better ones exist).
Thanks in anticipation of your reply. Snathcb (talk) 06:50, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

- Snathcb - my comments below ...
- Mr Gagan Garg[15] has been on the Board of SSAEL since 2009 and is the CEO & Joint-MD. He has founded and managed several high growth IT & ITES companies with over 1000+ employees. He co-founded Rajasthan Solar Park over 800 acres and specialises in organic and inorganic growth, with rapid expansion using processes & systems. He has conducted various Mergers and Acquisitions (including in the USA) and is passionate about innovation, future trends, delivery and customer delight. - This paragraph is not cited to a WP:RS. We either need a RS source or remove it, as it would run afoul of our WP:BLP guidelines (even though the article is not, itself, a biography).
- I don't think www.firstgreen.co is a RS for what it is being used to support. Is there something else that can be found?
- I think that's about it. If you can update these I think it would be in good shape, however, if you don't mind I'll ask a different person to review it. Chetsford (talk) 00:20, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

18:31:55, 18 January 2018 review of submission by Tgale34
Hi Chetsford. I am hoping to get some more clarity on why you rejected the draft submitted for Henry Hey. I'm guessing Allmusic is not accepted as a reliable source, but I want to be sure that's what's going on, and I'm wondering if there are enough additional sources so that the article will be fully cited without the Allmusic citations. Thank you.
Tgale34 (talk) 18:31, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, Tgale34, Allmusic is an "okay" source - it's acceptable for verifying information, but doesn't do anything towards demonstrating notability. Primefac (talk) 18:42, 18 January 2018 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
- Hello Tgale34. By my count, you have 38 sources; these are roughly divided so that 20 of which are to AllMusic, 3 to IMDB, a few to online merchants like barnesandnoble.com / yamaha.com, 2 to discogs, etc. As per Primefac, AllMusic is fine for basic facts like discographies and release dates, however, doesn't establish notability. IMDB is generally not a reliable source. There are some good WP:RS in the article such as Pitchfork, BBC, and Rolling Stone. However, of the five RS I counted, two do not mention the subject of the article (Henry Hay) at all, and one mentions him just once in a one paragraph album review. I don't think this gives us the deep, biographical data needed to pass WP:BLP or WP:GNG. He might be on the edge of WP:MUSICBIO, though. Can you introduce additional reliable sources to establish his notability? Don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions. Chetsford (talk) 18:52, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- As a minor note, there are now only 13 sources. WP:REFB is a good place to learn about how I did what I did (and better ways of adding refs). Primefac (talk) 19:01, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, I didn't look too closely at AllMusic to determine which quantity were unique and which were double-ref'ed but a pertinent observation, to be sure. Chetsford (talk) 19:03, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
