editYou may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add defamatory content to Wikipedia, as you did at Teesta Setalvad. Doug Weller talk 12:23, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
- Please read through bellow articles from news outlets considered trustworthy by wiki. Please also let me know if you need more evidence to support my edits. As I clearly stated earlier, I wasn't aware of detailed edit process and how to attach sources. Also current wiki article about Teesta Setalvad fails to reflect both sides of the story. She is accused in a case related to falsifying evidence in the 2002 Gujarat riots case, running on a bail as we speak. She tempered and misued funds to many of the NGO's she influences. Also she has been observed to have taken dirty foreign aid to destabilize elected governments and much more.

. Doug Weller talk 12:30, 2 September 2023 (UTC)- I don't understand the reason why I got blocked from editing. I have very rarely edited wikipedia pages whereas I inserted missing information or tried reflecting to the recent developments related to the articles involved. I have required evidence and trustworthy sources of information to support each of my edits that I am happy to share. Though I do not know yet how to attach those in edits. Also, with all due respect, I challenge the word "defamatory" to describe my edits, while what I edited was based on actual facts. Chinmay nayak23 (talk) 11:46, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Whatever you added was so beyond the pale that you must present the reliable sources before it can be presented anywhere in Wikipedia. Frankly, until you demonstrate that you understand WP:Biographies of living persons and WP:Reliable sources—and understand why you got blocked and pledge not to repeat the same error(s)—you should not be unblocked. —C.Fred (talk) 11:50, 6 September 2023 (UTC)

- These show that the block was correct. All of these are just accusations, nothing more. And one is just an opinion peace. None of them can to used to make assertions of fact. Doug Weller talk 07:47, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Ok I understand now. She is not convicted yet and she was allowed a bail lately. I used some words that definitely didn't rung true to describe the person. My sincere apologies to the administrators and users. I will make sure to follow these guidelines if I am allowed to edit in future. I believe, this discussion was crucial and was bound to happen at some point of time for me to be able to grasp the rules. I have also studied the process of editing wiki pages after the strike. Hope this satisfies your concern. Thank you also for taking time to promptly answer each of my queries. Chinmay nayak23 (talk) 09:26, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
