Oh, and since I've been such a jolly generous soul, do you mind returning the favour (of course, if you have the time and inclination to do so!) and have a look at Portman Road for me? Since I've done a bit of work on it over the last few days and think it might just squeeze to FA (like your Priestfield Stadium article), I've listed it at peer reviews. It probably needs a decent copyedit and a non-Ipswich head to look over it, I'll get Dweller to make sure I'm not being to generous to the place! Cheers for now.. Do you a deal... you give Portman Road a look, and I'll go check your kit out! The Rambling Man (talk) 13:05, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ReasonToBe.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ReasonToBe.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:15, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey Chris, I am going to have a look at this now, but just a note that per the updated FAC instructions,   Done and   Not done are now discouraged. They slow up the FAC page. Would you mind removing them? Regards. Woody (talk) 13:39, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

History of ITFC

edit

Hi Chris. Yeah, that article. It sucks right now. It's next or next after next on my list. That one and the list of ITFC records and I'm going for FTC, especially since Portman Road is doing so swimmingly at FAC right now. I would imagine the ten point bonus would be that we were promoted at the expense of a certain Kent club?! The Rambling Man (talk) 11:35, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

By the way, the work you've done on the kit article is incredible. Beyond the fact I thought it was ace, you've superseded it by miles with a more eclectic approach. I'm not changing my support, but if you carry on like this I may make it stronger! If you have a minute, care to glance at List of Ipswich Town F.C. statistics and records, up at PR right now. I really, really want to make it FA/FL, so advice is appreciated. I'm not averse to substantial rework including "added prose" (tm) - be honest and tell me what you think (if you have time...!). Cheers for now. The Rambling Man (talk) 21:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, you know there's always a peer review which you could relax and spend some time at... hint, hint!!.. Seriously though, great effort. I was totally chuffed by Portman Road, it made FA in just over four days after nomination... I wonder if WP:FOOTBALL is getting a reputation? The Rambling Man (talk) 08:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Chris, thanks for your comments! I'm still wondering whether I need to prose it out... I'll ask Struway2 because I think if he reckons it's okay, it's pretty likely to be spot on! The Rambling Man (talk) 13:44, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Haha, oops! I don't know what happened there. It was late at night, and I must have meant to comment on a different afd, but got muddled and commented on that one. Shipton Excelsior would be quite a name for a player, though. If he existed, I would sign him. Don't know what the appropriate protocol is for an entirely misplaced comment, a strikethrough? ITFC stats

edit

Hey Chris, as ever thanks for your comments at the PR which has become rather large thanks to Struway2 and Peanut4 and Jameboy's eagle eyes! I'm just trying to gauge whether you think this would deserve a shot at WP:FLC? I'm a bit nervous after what happened to the similar Liverpool article... The Rambling Man (talk) 18:55, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Chris, got impatient with myself, it's listed at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Ipswich Town F.C. statistics and records. Hope you don't mind me archiving the PR, thanks again for your comments. Anything you may wish to add at the FLC would be great too, even if it's strong oppose based on ITFC being elected in place of Gills back in the day...! Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Dovergraph.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:00, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Shandyland.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Hey Chris, hope you're well. I've now posted the ITFC history article up for peer review, the last in the collection of featured content I need before going for the ITFC featured topic. Hopefully you can contribute if you have the time! Anyway, quick aside, I saw that your FT had that lovely star thing saying all articles that could be featured were featured. Just as a heads up, the ITFC list of stats and records is heading towards WP:FL so, assuming the history article (eventually!) gets to FA then I'll go for FT with all featured content. Just wondered what may happen if someone says "hang on, Gills stats/records isn't featured"... you know what I'm saying?! If you can find any time to wade through the glory days of the Tractor Boys at some point that'd be great. Either way, have a good weekend, good luck at Oldham! The Rambling Man (talk) 17:18, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'll happily swapsie! Thanks for your comments on the ITFC history. I'll get on to them when I haven't been out "with the family" for birthdays and beers! Plus I'll do Dover PR asap too. Much WP:FOOTY love to you. Oh, and tough against Oldham today. My lot have finally shaken off the home defence thing (don't get me wrong, it's always good to go like ten months without defeat at home but eventually it becomes a burden.. ) - more tomorrow. Unspecified source for Image:Constar.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Constar.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:23, 10 February 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 05:23, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
