Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. --Mariano(t/c) 12:20, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok...i hope my work can be useful, but my english is not very good sso i'll do only tables for now— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ciano22 (talkcontribs)

Tables are nice! :o) There are a lot of things you can do other than heavy text writing: adding infoboxes, adding references whenever a citation is needed, and also reverting vandalism, which in my case is what takes me the most time at Wikipedia.

Please, don't forget to sign your messages in talk pages adding ~~~~ at the end: it will add your name, and the time. take care, --Mariano(t/c) 12:41, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Ciano22! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 11 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 687 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Proposed deletion of Nico Pulzetti

edit

The article Nico Pulzetti has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article content is not maintained, for example the lead correctly states that Pulzetti plays for Bologna, but the squad template is that of one former club (A.C. Cesena). I don't agree with articles being left to rot!

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
