Edit War on Evil Avatar

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. --Flewis(talk) 00:48, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to Evil Avatar do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Actually there were some other odd edits in your sequence such as one that added "‎" in two places in the article, including sticking it inside a comment - but I should have looked at each edit and avoided removing any that were good. Unfortunately the revert tool wipes out everything by the same editor. I'll go ahead and rollback my revert, but if you could take a look and make sure that there's no other odd things going on during your cleanup, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, you may want to strongly consider providing references for any information your adding (or any information already there that doesn't have a source). Thanks for the note. No worries, I've had strange things happen to my edits from time to time too. Feel free to drop me a line if I can ever answer any questions or help figure something out. I don't know if you've ever gotten one before, so I'm leaving a welcome template at the top that has a lot of great links if you ever need to find anything. Blocked

edit

You have been blocked for a period of 24 hours for edit warring on Evil Avatar. It is essential that you are more careful to discuss controversial changes with the user in question, rather than simply revert them repeatedly: this applies even if you think or know you are correct. Edit warring helps nobody, and actually harms the page in question, and the encyclopedia. To contest this block please place {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Request reason:

I have been trying to get the other parties to engage in some form of discussion for days now. They have consistently refused to do so, and I've been unsuccessful in getting any form of outside intervention to this point. I've gone so far as taking the step of including information which had previously been trimmed by other editors as an attempt at a good faith gesture of slowly working toward consensus , to no avail. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to discuss a disagreement when the other party refuses to discuss things whatsoever.

Decline reason:

There are other options like WP:3O, WP:RFA, and Wikiprojects to get more input, it is a short block, so wait it out and then pursue those options. — MBisanz talk 21:29, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Template doesn't seem to want to allow me to link anything. Here is the diff of what I'm specifically referring to.
