Periodic Table article

edit

Hi Contributer1234

Today you added a hidden comment at the top of the Periodic table article which says "This image of chemistry is outdated. You can help wikipedia by updating it." You might not be aware that this is a featured article that has been extensively peer-reviewed and recently substantially updated by DePiep and others. As such, the choice of the image in the lead of the article has been carefully considered. If you think a different image should be used, it would be better to raise the topic on the Talk Page at Talk:Periodic table. Mike Turnbull (talk) 19:07, 29 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

That article needs a more detailed periodic table. Can you find a "free licensed detailed periodic table"? Contributer1234 (talk) 19:52, 1 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Stub template placing

edit

Per your edit here, please see the Wikipedia guideline at WP:ORDER where stub templates should be placed at the very bottom of the article. Also regarding the edit before that, I don't know why you replaced the specific stub template with the most general one, stub templates should be the most specific one whereever possible, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting#Why is stub sorting important?. Thanks. twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 08:45, 29 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

I won't do that again. Contributer1234 (talk) 19:50, 1 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm JohnFromPinckney. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, DuckDuckGo, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 19:09, 28 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

I couldn't find a reliable source. Also, I am currently blocked. So, I can't add that information. Contributer1234 (talk) 19:49, 1 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Coelenterata

edit

Your edit at Coelenterata is a problem. The lead is supposed to represent the major points of the article, and ctenophores have traditionally been classified as part of Coelenterata. Also note that Ctenophora or ctenophores are mentioned nine times in the body of the article, and the image in the taxobox for the article is of a comb jelly. I will not not revert you, because that leads to edit warring. Please read the advice at Wikipedia:BOLD,_revert,_discuss_cycle. I also invite you to revert yourself, and wait for further discussion on Talk:Coelenterata before making further edits that remove Ctenophora from the article. - Donald Albury 12:28, 22 October 2021 (UTC) Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading File:Logo-35.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.   Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you recently removed content from Coelenterata without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please don't mess with other people's userpages

edit

Please don't mess with another's userpage, as you did here. It was perfectly "appropriate" before. MrOllie is an experienced user who doesn't need any help with his page, especially not help in the form of redirecting a page to itself...[1] And why did you remove those messages from other people on Philip Trueman's page? I have reverted you in both cases. And what is this? And this? Fortunately you reverted those yourself, but you need to simply stop messing with other people's pages. I notice you have received some warnings on this page, all of which you have hidden or blanked without response. Please note that Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and start responding to people. I would like you to explain what you were trying to do specifically at MrOllie's and Philip Trueman's and Roxy's pages, please. If you remove this warning also without responding, I'm afraid I'll have to block you from the namespaces where you have been disruptive, that is, User and User talk. Oh.. I now see you just disrupted another user's page here. Cut it out. Bishonen | tålk 06:27, 30 October 2021 (UTC).Reply

I removed #REDIRECT {{user talk:MrOllie}} because i found it irritating. When you try to navigate to his user page, it redirects you to his talk page. So, i did that. It is a kind of a Mischief.
I added {{user page}} in user:holdenweb as a Mischief.
I did a Mischief with Roxy's page by hiding that paragraph. I love how doing <!--Example--> hides something.
Now, the case with Philip Trueman is different. Philip Trueman is a computer programmer. So, I asked him a question here. But afterwards i thought about removing older things from that talk page. But his talk page was very long. So, i gave up after removing somethings here
I know the authentication credentials of this user. So, i posted them on his user page to see what happens.

Contributer1234 (talk) 07:11, 30 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for responding. If you want to write code and for it to be seen as code on the page, you need to put <nowiki></nowiki> around it, as I do in this message. Now, you have used the #Redirect code above, making an almighty mess — the code moved messages from MrOllie's page here, to your page! — and also the <!--Example--> code. I have nowiki'd your codes, because I really don't want to see MrOllie's messages here. Also, you have used the <!--Example--> code inappropriately many times in other places. I actually don't care if you 'love' it; don't use it on other people's text. And whether or not somebody else's talkpage is long is not your business; don't remove stuff.
"Mischief" is a very, very poor reason for editing other people's pages. So is editing "to see what happens". (At least, already, use Preview to see the messes you make when you try something out. You obviously didn't preview your latest post, because it was unreadable before I nowiki'd your various codes.) If there's more mischief from you, of any kind, I will block you as a trolling-only account. Bishonen | tålk 07:46, 30 October 2021 (UTC).Reply

Speedy deletion of User:Some1234567890

I have reverted your edits at SpiderMonkey (JavaScript Engine) because a lot of the text had been copied from another website. WP:Copyright violations are prohibited. Repeating them will lead to an indefinite block. Questions can be asked at WP:Teahouse. Johnuniq (talk) 08:50, 30 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

File:Detailed Periodic Table.png is clearly a copyright violation (that was added to Periodic table and correctly removed by another editor). Johnuniq (talk) 08:53, 30 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Blocked indefinitely

edit

I don't believe you when you say above that you "randomly guessed" another user's password. That's ridiculous. I have blocked you indefinitely for abusing multiple accounts and lying about it. I can see also, from the copyright warnings above, that you haven't made any constructive edits whatsoever. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bishonen | tålk 09:36, 30 October 2021 (UTC).Reply

I realize this is a very mute point, but it kind of seems like an abuse of your power to be the one who was arguing with him over if he was doing something AND be the one who initiates the ban. That kind of behavior is too close to be acting as judge, jury and executioner. Gloern (talk) 16:13, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Do you think so? I don't agree. I don't see that I was arguing with him over if he was doing something; I was pointing out that he was doing block-worthy stuff (running a sockpuppet, vandalizing userpages), for the purpose of explaining to him why I blocked. That's how admins function on this site. Wikipedia is not a quasi-judicial body. Bishonen | tålk 16:50, 30 January 2023 (UTC).Reply

Request reason:

Instead of Blocking my account you should delete it. I am a burden on wikipedia. I have broken many rules of wikipedia. I have played with the user and talk pages of users. I have arrogance and ego problem in me. I don't listen to my conscience. Instead of reading this blah blah you should delete my accounts.

This is not technically possible. Yamla (talk) 13:07, 31 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I understand my mistake. It is wrong and an evil deed to mess up with talk pages of others, performing unconstructive editing, uploading copyrighted images, creating sock accounts, etc. I won't do the above mentioned evil deeds anymore. I will edit responsibly. I will give respect to decision of others, their choices, their beliefs, etc. Instead of editing directly i will ask my mentor or file an issue in the talk page. I will not edit articles without discussing about the impact of that edit. In a nutshell, I will collaborate with others while respecting them. So, can I get unblocked? Contributer1234 (talk) 13:42, 1 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

In a nutshell, no. Having wasted the time of volunteers here, you moved over to Commons and started wasting the time of volunteers there. I'm removing your access to this talkpage in view of the repeated abuse of this talkpage for unactionable unblock requests. Acroterion (talk) 23:28, 1 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

edit
  1. I lied about "randomly guessing" the password of Some1234567890
  2. Thisisatime is my sock account.
  3. That is my account.
