WhenU

edit

I have nominated the article WhenU for deletion as it seems to be an unencyclopedic entry that purports to call attention to yourself. WP articles should never have links to User Talk pages embedded in them, for one. I hope you will continue to contribute to WP, but first you should check out some of the links on the WP welcome page. Happy editing! -- Merope 15:08, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Talk:Elf Bowling

edit

Please do not delete other people's comments on talk pages, as you did at Talk:Elf Bowling. It is considered vandalism, and you may be Blocked from editing Wikipedia if you continue in this manner. Even if you don't like their opinion, please be civil and remember that they are entitled to it.

Please do not remove legitimate messages from your talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of legitimate communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted legitimate comments. Thanks. --Drat (Talk) 06:26, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Super Toilet by White Wolfen.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Super Toilet by White Wolfen.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Twister MP3

edit

No, i cannot live in a world without my article!!! Help ME! I dont want to lose my article. CoolChris 09:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm afraid the notability requirements for software WP:SOFTWARE are quite strict. I don't think this piece of software deserves an article of its own. However, there's no reason why you couldn't expand upon it, and in particular its adware delivery role, in WhenU. Just remember that your contributions need to be verified. -- IslaySolomon | talk 13:24, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'd agree with IslaySolomon's comments, if you can find reliable sources and verify your sources, it could be expanded. Sadly, at the moment, the article still fails the WP:SOFTWARE requirements. If you wish, copy the code from Twister MP3 and place it in your userspace where you can expand on it before the article gets deleted, and if it does pass WP:SOFTWARE in the future, you can recreate the article. --tgheretford (talk) 17:52, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your edits to RuneScape

edit

Hi there! Thanks for contributing to our article on RuneScape, but what you added was not only incomplete, but something we refer to as fancruft. Fancruft is information only people who play the game would care about, and such info tends to clutter up the RuneScape articles and many others on the site. I reverted your edits, but if you have any question about what should and shouldn't into the article, you're free to ask on the talk page. DiscordantNoteCntrbtns 19:38, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, you may not re-add it. Once again, please check the RuneScape talk page to see what we're doing with pictures on the article. DiscordantNoteCntrbtns 19:13, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Stolen_logo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stolen_logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 22:45, 27 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:AMISH_PARADISE_-_Low_def_sample.ogg

edit

I have tagged Image:AMISH_PARADISE_-_Low_def_sample.ogg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. BigrTex 22:46, 27 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Virtual CloneDrive
